sitting next to the person who has to put your seperating arm rest up b/c they are far too big for their seat, so they think that they get to share yours. drives me absolutely insane. i also hate when people think that they can bring on huge suitcases and take up all of the overhead bin space, and give you a dirty look when you can't even fit your own small bookbag next to their suitcase. ooooh, and i hate it when you are sooo tired, you just want to sleep...and the person next to you wakes you up repeatedly to chat. *sigh*

Personally, the worst part for me is landing the plane because I hate that losing altitude feeling (the sudden drops) but coming a close second would be layovers (or stops) on the plane when you are flying across the country and can't get off the plane. Those infamous "stops to pick up passengers" in another city can be dreadful, especially if you have already been on a flight for 4 hours and you still have 2 hours to go to get to your final destination. An 8-9 hour flight on a plane is not my idea of a cup of tea.

yes i have heard of what you have mentioned... but i also heard the popping of your ears is real bad on the plane.. my son took his 2nd flilght a couple weeks ago.. i imagine layovers would be bad in a strange city too... i have never had the chance to fly except in a helicopter to the hospital and i do not rmember that so i am just telling you about what i have heard... and watching tv with so many plane crashes does not sound to good to me...i think i would rather keep my feet on the ground...

I'd have to say either sitting next to a snoring guy or hearing a baby cry for the entire flight. The whole ordeal of being trapped in a tin can with a hundred strangers with hardly enough air for people to breathe is just traumatic.

Cramped space.. seriously how is it that the person who makes these things can think it is comfortable for anyone to set in a seat with there knees wedged up to there eye's, there butt smooshed, if you set near a window you have to crouch down when you stand up you can't even get an occasional stretch in. The average person can't be comfortable in these seats and then you add in the extra padding most humans carry and you're in for a real treat- and then you get to set next to someone with a$$ breath.

The worst part of flying is the cramped seats and when the people in fornt of you recline all the back while you try and eat or use a laptop.

When the plane takes off and when there's a lot of turbulence. I just don't like being forced onto my chair and getting shaken up.

For me, it is the cramp space. Almost like you are in a straitjacket, no room to move. :)
