I have two freckles, one on each arm, that aren't filled in with color on the inside. So essentially, they are light freckles with a darker ring on the ouside. Along with that, they are slightly raised above my skin. I am very fair skinned and freckle easily, so it is possible they are just strange freckles?

They are pretty large, perfectly circular freckles, but not out of the ordinary. They are about the size of the part of a pen the you push down on to get the pen to come out. (That is all I could think of.)

I've read that people of all ages can have skin cancer. The only way you will know for sure is to see a doctor who will check skin areas on a regular basis. Why live with the worry when you can put your mind to rest if the answer is no? If the answer is yes (from a doctor), you're cure chances are good the sooner you find out and start treatment. Get thee to a doctor for your own peace of mind.

It is almost impossible to tell without seeing them in person and then, only someone trained to do so can tell.

Basically, what this means is that you need to go see a dermatologist. He will look at them, ask you a bunch of questions and possibly remove them.

This is a big deal. Skin cancer is 100% curable when caught early. You just cut it off and send it in for a biopsy. Skin cancer allowed to grow, will kill you pretty damn quick.

Go make an appointment with your family doctor and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. Best money you ever spent.

I've had something similar to what you're talking about, it didn't look like a freckle but I didn't know what it was. Just to be safe, because I freckle easily and don't want to get skin cancer, my mother took me to the doctor. He had them removed just because it was potentially cancerous. Just see a doctor, better safe then sorry.

If they are smaller than the eraser on a pencil then they are considered normal. If they change color, size, shape, or begin to produce/leak fluid then it is more likely to be some type of skin cancer. Of course you should always check with a dermatologist once a year.

It might be irregular but if it is larger than a pencil eraser then you should probably get in checked out. Use a SPF 45 or higher since you are fair skinned it can prevent melanoma (skin cancer)

You should visit a dermatologist and have these tested just to make sure. The sooner you know for sure, the better.
