I don't know if you have a grandmother or grandfather of your own, but these old people are far from a disgrace, some old people are probably to ill or suffer from arthritis so cant do things for themselves the same as they use to, and also i am sure that they are fully aware of this and feel embarrassed about it themselves.
One day you will be old and just remember your words if you end up to ill to look after yourself properly.
All i can say now is next time engage brain b4 you open your big mouth.

this question is very relative, coz not all old people smell wee. They could use some kind of absorbent, as the young women do sometimes when they have weak bladder or having a period. The fact is that , if the elderly is not ill and still he is smelly, most the time he is male, coz male are lazy to keep themselves clean at any age, specially when there are no the score game of the young age, hunting for gals. They could use some kind of absorbent even if they were ill and somebody could change for them , if necessary, even you could voluntary for this, lol.

Don't be so mean, one day you will be one of us old foggies and you will smell of wee. Don't you young people understand that some old people have disabilities and aren't able to do things that you young people can. Why do young people complain about the odour of the older generation? If you ask me most of you young people are the disgrace.

I'm old and I don't smell like pee.
But I know a lot of elderly people that do.
I don't see them as a disgrace.
I see them as an aged body that is beginning to shut down it's normal bodily functions. Like you will when you are old and decrepit and some potty mouth tells you that you stink when your Depends are full of urine and you don't have the physical capabilities to change it yourself.
Remember your question when you get old and smell like pee.

No it's possible that they cant wash on their own, but they also become incontinent and then you get dribbles and drips, so carers and relatives say they must drink less and don't give them enough fluids so the wee becomes stronger the bladder becomes irritated so the incontinents gets worse. Hence the smell is worse so the relatives and carers give less water ect....ect...ect...
See where this is going.
So yes they can smell but it's not always their fault.

as you(yes, that means you too) age your muscles react differently. sometimes the muscle around the bladder has a spasm that increases the urge to urinate. if you're not near a bathroom, you could have a little accident. as far as washing, yes, older people do wash but as arms and legs get stiffer with age they may not be able to reach everywhere as easily....although i personally have run across more younger people who have b.o. than the older ones do. anyone who thinks older people are a disgrace should think about what people will think of them when they get older.

Alot of older people have weak bladder muscles and can't help themselves. But not all elderly smell of urine. I know some very clean elderly that are incontinent but very careful to keep themselves clean so you'd never suspect it.
If your hanging around only people that smell of urine, maybe you need to meet other old people or offer to help the situation by cleaning them up yourself.

No, they're incontinent. I have a job where I deal with the physical effects of aging, and it really makes me feel sad for old people. We're all going to get old one day, so we should try and have sympathy, not make fun of people. And if you're disgusted by them, just don't hang out with them. They probably aren't too crazy about you, either!

aint you got no respect or common desency..do you think some like to be this way. dont you think that if they had the chance they would take showers alone and dont have to wait for nurses to clean after them. maybe you should be a carer for a week. then itll shut you up a bit.

It seems eveyone else has pretty much let you have it, and you deserve it. When you are elderly, may you end up in a nursing home with no one to care for you. What a complete horse's *** you are.
