You need to be a LOT more specific!
How old? what breed? barks inside? outside when left alone? barks at people? nervous or nasty?
No one can give you good advice without background!

One way to stop a dog from barking is to take some time to train it not to. Be nearby and when it starts to yell 'NO' and throw a bucket of water on it (dogs dont like that). Keep doing it and it wil get the idea that you dont want it to bark. I have tried this and it works. I think it is more humane than taking out it vocal cords( a cruel but possible option) or buying a ZAP collar (also cruel and expensive) Id try the water thing first. Make sure you yell NO and eventually you can stop using the water and just yell NO...then eventually the dog will only bark when it feels danger and must disobey (most dogs want to obey)

the anti bark collar and water method both work, but some dogs will not respond to either. sometimes tossing a loue metal pan on the ground behind them will shock them into not barking, consistency is the clue here. Talk to your veterinarian for other methods. Whatever you use, keep it humane and talk to your vet BEFORE you decide to get rid of your dog for barking. as mentioned above, itis thier nature.

Don't give it treats because it might get the wrong message and think you're rewarding it FOR barking.
Instead, spray him/her with water everytime they bark and then scold them telling them to stop, they'll start to connect getting sprayed with water with barking, and eventually learn from it. You need patience though.

Take your dog to a reputable trainer, I would personally NEVER use a shock collar, those have been known to malfunction and cause serious injury.
