What was the sermon on?? Did you have a good time worshipping God???

Actually I went last night, although there are two other services today. The sermon was very short because my Pastor has temporarily suspended his teaching on the book of 1 Corinthians because he sensed that God would have us spend this month focusing on worship.
After the men's choir sang, the Pastor talked about this passage from the Bible where he emphasized worshiping God based upon who He is rather than how we felt about the circumstances in our lives.
John 4:20 Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you shall neither worship the Father in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem. 22 You worship what you do not know, we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him. 24 God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.
Then we sang praises for the rest of the time with a guest worship team from another church across the Bay. Each weekend we will have a different guest worship team for our services. At the end of the worship time the Pastor called all of the fathers up to the front of the church and asked everyone to join him in a prayer of blessing and thanksgiving for the men who are seeking to raise their children in the nuture and admonition of the Lord.

Yes! i just came home from church right now!, the sermon today was about Jesus saying to the apostles to follow this man and asking him for a place to spend the passover, then while they were there Jesus said that he would not drink the fuit of vine again until he is in heaven.. yes, i had a good time worshipping my Lord...

Yes. God is my Father. And I went to Church. The sermon was on" how do our children see us." My favorite part of Church today was the Bible Study and the music.

Well, I did hear a blip of a sermon on tv that was pretty good. It was about not stressing over things that may never even happen and trusting God. But I didn't go to church.

it was on matthew 27,, the titile was life or death decisions.. or something
it was expounded on the verse Mat 27:22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? about how people have to make a decisoin.. it was a pretty watered down sermon.. more of a gospel decison message... i think it was because of fathers day and maybe they get more visitors that day i dont know
but yes i had a good time

I did. It was a father's day sermon. But my mom had to work so I left early but I did enjoy praise and worship.

I will be going in two hours, I do not yet know what I will be taught, and of course I will have a good time worshipping!
