a woman came and sat next to me she was really nice and friendly and ask me all kinds of questions. I took an instant liking to her and told her she was really nice and that i liked her now she avoids talking to me she just says hello and gets away from me quick. have i done wrong telling her shes nice and i like her?

Maybe she was just being friendly and thought you were looking for some kind of relationship? While there is nothing wrong with saying you like someone, you may give the wrong impression and what you say may be seen as making a pass.
In future I would recommend you match her level of friendliness - if she asks your name, ask hers, if she talks about her work, talk about yours. Stay away from expressions of feeling until you know her better.

No, you did nothing wrong. She should be flattered that you were so honest and drawn to her. Evidently, all she wanted was to communicate only with conversation or she is in a situation that prevents her from forming a bond with anyone. Maybe, she is just one of those people who is scared about starting a relationship.

when speaking to a girl, especially when she just came over and asked you questions, you don't want to jump in and say i think your nice and i like talking to you, it's kinda scary. girls may think your a creep because you just said that after they asked you some questions. next time, just be careful on what you say. try to just answer questions, and if the girl likes talking to you, then she'll let you know. don't jump head first in the water again. good luck.
