The antenna mast is for a powerized system.

This part for a Volvo can only be purchased at dealership or on some online websites....I would really like to save some cash and get instruction on how to replace myselfl. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

1. Remove panels and carpet in the cargo compartment. Carpet held by 2 screws / panel held by screws and clips.
2. Remove antenna cable and ground lead.
3. Remove drain hose
4. Remove mounting screw for antenna
5. Remove dome shape rubber seal (pull)

Install in reverse order

There should be a bezel on the top of the antenna base, you have to use a small screwdriver and it needs to be loosened, or it may have a nut underneath, but either way, take the antenna off first, then that retaiining nut. You may even have to remove a fender, or some trunk trim depending on where it is. The motor will will held on with a couple screws, nuts, or bolts, take these off, then you have to remove the radio to unhook the lead from the radio.

I have a Ford Explorer and replaced mine by going to Pep Boys. They have lots of choices and will probably help you find what you need.
