i would say you should go with the 6 day diet. for six days, eat real well, exercise and all that good stuff. then on the 7th day have fun. im not saying eat a whole pig, but eat that pizza you've been eyeing or that shake. plus for the 6 days you are dieting, itll give you motivation for the 7th

Diets NEVER work. Its all a big big lie.
The best way to lose weight is through a balance of proper nutrition and exercise.
Now, saying it is one thing, the real challenge is doing it. It would be nice if there was a quick fix but there isn't. The good news is that changing your lifestyle is nowhere near as boring or as painful as people think.
Please don't go on a diet, they simply don't work. The very idea of depriving yourself of food for a limited period and then returning to your 'normal' lifestyle doesn't work no matter how much people talk about it.
Eat everything you like but slowly decrease the amount and slowly substitute healthier foods. Tastes change and I now actually like things that I never thought I would.
I've been an exercise consultant and people often ask me: 'Whats the best kind of exercise?' and I often tell them: 'The best kind of exercise is one that you will do.'
There is no best exercise or best diet. The best exercise is any exercise that you like and that fits your daily schedule. The best diet is to eat things you like but slowly evolve towards healthier choices.
Be patient. Be determined. Enjoy. Good Luck.

Lose the guilt. I'm dieting now and I'm not supposed to have any of the "good stuff". My doctor doesn't know I CHEAT every Saturday and I have what I want in moderation. But when Sunday comes, I return to my normal fish, chicken or turkey, vegetables and fruit routine. I have lost 35lbs in 3 1/2 months and I'm consistent. One health magazine that I purchased specifically says "if you have been on track for six days, reward yourself and have 1/2 a pizza if you want ont he seventh day". I haven't done pizza, but I've had dessert. Everyone's body is different, check you scale after one of these cheat days and see what you can and can't have.

Try to plan what you'll eat before you go out. Look at the restaurant's menu (maybe online) before you go so that you are armed with information. Also, ask them to box half of your meal before you start.

Never order more than you can eat, obviously. If they ask how much you want, just reply "small."
