Nope I don't think it's true. But it really wouldn't matter to me if it were. Jesus could have married and had children if He chose to, that wouldn't shake my faith at all.

Where I have a problem with the Da Vinci Code is that it is a work of fiction that many people are taking as fact (like this board is showing) and that it attacked the Divinity of Christ. That's the issue I have.

it is, like he says, fiction. Read the Bible---Mary Magdalene was a follower of Jesus Christ. Never does it ever imply that she was His wife.
The Bible, in Timothy says that people will have itching ears and will begin to believe fables. I think that is what is happening with people's reaction to "the Da Vinci Code".

Yes

It doesn't specifically say in the bible that Jesus was not married.

It doesn't really go into details like wives and children unless that part is important to the mesage in some way.

There is no reason why are 33 year old man living at that time would NOT be married. No reason at all. The life expectancy was only about 50 years and most people got married at around 17 to try to have some babies.

Dan Brown is led around by his nose with demonic influences - mixing some history with made up fallacy and presenting this concoction as a fact.

Thats like blending aspects of the history of George Washington, Albert Einstein and Star Wars and creating a twisted religion or string of erroneous thought and passing it off as valid.

Even the author says it is fiction.

NO there is no point at which he is correct.
How is it that there are a lot of people ready to accept anything that is against Christianity.
That is to say against Jesus.
I guess it is the falling away.
Falling away to what?
Anything else.
The Force of star wars.
great goga booga or anything else.

What is Christianity?
It is the belief that Jesus died for your personal sins.
You have to believe that you are a sinner in order to need a savior.
Most do not believe they are sinners. So why do they need a savior?
Faith really is a gift.
Without it you are no where. OLay!

No, he, like any other authors, has a very wild imagination. He was not even fully credited for the work as it turns out someone else before has thought of what he wrote. And whats ironic is that those who have not even opened the Bible to find out for themselves are carried away to this work of fictio n and believed it to be true...

It's a work of fiction. That means that Mr. Brown used his imagination to present a story. Follow the clues and solve the mystery.
Mr. Brown never intended anyone to take his book seriously. If he had, he would never have called it "fiction".
