If they dont believe in any religion, they need not provoke others by posting questions that make them sound so stupid and ignorant. I would suggest strong Christians and Muslims should avoid answering questions that offend them, because by doing so we are falling into their traps of succeeding in their offence against pur religions! Dont bother to explain and answer those sinful questions just for the sake of the 2 points., because people like these simply like to condemn more than appreciate our answers and explanation. Simply because they are not GOD fearing, they like to bad-mouth about other religions, so just avoid them and leave their questions answered by their own peers.

Did you come across members whose names are "God is bad" and "Evil Aatheist'? They are definitely booking a place in Satan's helldom..

The goal here shouldn't be to proselytize or fight with others anyway. God does not need people to win debates for Him, and in fact will do quite fine on His own. He just gives us the privilege of participating, by loving other people and sharing what's happened in our lives.

When I go to answer a question, one of my first questions to myself is, "Where is this person at, and why are they asking the question?"

If a person is asking just to be antagonistic and looking for an excuse to give out more abuse, then there's no point in answering... especially not in detail. The question wasn't worth a decent response, and God hasn't worked enough in that person to make them open. Arguing with them is one of the worst things you could do in that situation.

If someone is asking out of obvious sincerity, or they might have some anger/bitterness but I can tell they're really searching and want a real answer, I will take the time to share with them what I've experienced and/or understand, so that maybe they find the peace they seek.

I don't have all the answers, nor am I a perfect person in the least, but people feel less alone when people address their questions with respect and kindness. That's a big part of what we long for, and also a big part of why we look for God.

" I got started on Y!A in September and I've seen a lot of rude and provoking questions by christians" But you don't see any provoking questions posted by so called atheists right? Duh! "I didn't see any questions like that by atheists so far," Then you need to go back into the archives a little deeper. I see them everyday. Also how do you know some [many?] of the questions that you deem provoking and directed by Christians are not being asked by atheists themselves just for laughs? You don't.

Peace Be With You (Assalm Alykom):
God bless you! I'm a Muslim, and I do get offended by stupid comments about my religion. I do admit that I depicted Christianity once, but I never bashed. 'Sorry'. Anyway, you're totally correct! We, as God believers, shouldn't bother to answer such questions. God's existence needs NO proof! Because WE'RE THE PROOF!! But in our religious, holy Book (The Holy Qur'an) God says:
"And debate them (non-believers) with the best possible manner".
You're an open-minded person. Thanks for your post.
And God bless.

I noticed that you included yourself as a believer. If you are, then you know that when questions are asked about your faith (and not ridiculous questions), inquiry question, then you are obligated to tell the truth. But if you don't know the truth (of what the word of God says) then you don't need to answer. When the chief priests asked Jesus of what authority He performed the miracles, Jesus didn't just not answer them, He asked them of the baptism of John whether it was from heaven or of men, when they refused to answer Jesus simply denied to answer them also. That is not to say that Jesus could not answer them so we can't answer them, Jesus knew the truth, He knew that He performed miracles by the authority that God gives. So if you know the truth and are confronted with an adversary of truth by all means believers tell it. God Bless

Just as a teacher can not teach a student that doesn't want to learn. People here ridicule christians as they just don't want to accept the Lordship of God. So they make fun of God's people. I have seen answers that insist that they want to go to hell. They don't want this Jesus to rule over them. And at that point there is really not much reason to answer them as they are just provoking to make fun of God.

As a Muslim, an atheist doesn't provoke me. I think many atheists are the way they are because they have rejected the faith of their upbringing and have not yet found the religion that is imbedded in their making (Islam).

I feel bad for them and pray God shows them who He is before they die, for punishment is certainly severe and yet they do not even know it.

I agree. I don't get totally offended but I realize christians will be persecuted and that we must continue to share the good new of Jesus Christ. We must steer clear even with those who seem nice because They are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Well, it doesn't matter what they ask, they should hear the truth. I'm long past offenses in the Truth of Jesus Christ. They can't help it, you know. Well...maybe a few are willing participants. Those are the ones that would prefer we Christians DIDN'T answer.

Very well said, but the purpose of those who have firm faith foundations is to enlighten those who are in the dark. But, not get carried away to the point of creating more disharmony. Let us enlighten if we can. God bless you!

As an old curse from the Quran states: "May the flees of a thousand camels infest your armpits".
