Dude, the NEX people will sew all of your stuff on for like a buck. Mine were down to where the edges of the patch were as close to the sides of the collar point as possible without hanging over. Make sure they face in.

Check the uniform regs (you should have one in your pocket). Now that you're issued coveralls in your seabag, the regs have that info.
