The truth is that they have no basis, but like the one said they don't want to know that God exists as then they have to deal with it. One makes up a theory and the other swears that it is true. It is a circle of ignorance and they really don't want to come out. You can try and help them, but they really don't want help as they reject God, They actually insist that they come from monkeys, as that is their theory. Then they set out to prove it by evolution which cannot be proved.

Fact: You cannot prove the existance of God any more than I can disprove the existance of God.
Fact: Any ideal or written word does not provide evidence for or against the existance of God. It can only provide evidence in the belief or disbelief in Gods existance.
Fact: All "holy" texts are written by man, not faxed to earth from some mystical great beyond. Inspiration from a being that can neither be proven to exist or disproven, is not proof of divine origin. If it were, then divinely inspired writing of any faith would must be accepted as truth by all faiths. This is clearly not the case.
Fact: ALL religions believe that theirs is the only right path to God. Obviously, someone must be wrong.
Observation: Logicly, God cannot exist as a perfect being. As a perfect being, God would be complete, and hence have no need for creation, worshippers, or even a race of people to watch over.
Theory: Being a construct of man, God is infinately maleable. The perfection of God is directly relevant of the imperfection of the quality of life for mankind. Hence, scriptures like Judges 1:19 would seem to point to the Bronze Age concept of God. As there have been no additions to the Judeo/Christian mythos in 1700 years, I would postulate that any additions would simply be technologically invalidated in the future.
Opinion: The God of the Torah, The Bible, and the Q'uran is a barbaric and evil concept. These books contain some of the most morally unacceptable ideals that the human mind has ever concieved. Rape, murder, child abuse, and privation are unacceptable as a standard for society in any age. When it is condoned by, and occasionally performed directly by a being of myth to relay some sense of righteousness to the act is entirely reprehensible. If there was ever a time for God as a construct of civilization, that time has certainly passed.

May be you will understand that it a metaphor
1ST. you have to realize that before earth there must have been a civilization of Gods and Angles and that civilization was corrupt, based on "Satan the fallen Angel" (could be argued that was after, but either was it was corrupt) and the all powerful gave Satan the earth to rule.
As it is written, god created the universe and all that is within it, then created man in "their" image "the earthlings or Indians" then created Adam from the earth and placed him in the Garden Of Eden, then created Eve from Adam as a mate. "because God did not want Adam to bread with the natives" In turn Adam & Eve were like two small children not knowing sexual pleasure
, that were told once to eat from the tree of knowledge, then God if not placed Satan in the garden allowed it. In turn that act of treason banded them from the garden.
Then time marched own and God destroyed the earth and killed all the humans, except for the Noah's and his in-laws, they in turn started the repopulation on the Earth "Gentiles mind you"
Then time marched on some more and the merraculis birth of Jesus the savior of the world from Satan, "they Killed Him"
Between the time of Noah to the time of Christ the gentiles produced Hebrews, which are not gentiles for some reason. Now to cut this short.
The summary, God created the earth Satan, Humans, then gave a book that know one is smart enough to interpret to dumb kings and priest to teach and start society then said I'LL BE BACK
Just a story of the Kings of the times, or our God is an alien that explained the best he could to the dumb Kings and priest, I mean a DumbASS could have done just as bad of a job

As I said before, I got most of my answers from within and from science, as flawed as that can be too. :-)
Facts? Okay. :-) Long ago, I was reading a science magazine that was talking about neurons in the brain possibly being the basis of our soul or personality. Then soon afterwards, I was not getting much from the religion I was in (wicca). I found that I didn't believe in the afterlife. Deity and afterlife beliefs are a "package deal". If I didn't believe in the afterlife, then non-belief in a deity is to follow.

Well for starters, it's the lack of facts that makes us shun the idea of any God existing. Furthermore, we have to ask ourselves, "would we really want to follow this 'loving' God everybody is talking about if he turned out to exist?" I've read much of the bible, and in the Old Testament especially, God is quite far from loving. It'd be interesting to see how many people God has killed compared to how many Satan has killed, and then I think you'd know why our loyalty would lie where it does.

I am a Christian ; I think antheists have no bases or proofs.. they just cannot think how God is then they cancel him from their lives...
I think they are suspicous about God as they were all afraid about the day 6/6/06 .... Funny they've no peace , no joy and no confidence in their beliefes and they still insist on going on with it...

The existence of any supernatural being (gods, angels, demons, leprechauns, fairies, the list goes on) cannot be definitely disproved. You can't prove the nonexistence of -- well, anything.
However, there's no evidence indicating that any of these creatures actually exists, and there's no reason to suspect that such evidence may exist and we just haven't found it yet.
Therefore, it seems to me that since the likelihood of god's existence is so small, then it's reasonable to say that there is no god or gods.

I've noticed that the people who really research deeply and thoroughly their belief in christianity of today, without bias, as is possible, tend to have a very different opinion to yours......wonder why?
I also wonder how much YOU have studied it, especially all the new discoveries unearthed in the last few years?
BTW, just wondering.....do you believe in the THEORY of gravity?

Its hard to for me to believe all this stuff about God because there is no clear-cut proof or eveidence. What if everything believed about God was a hoax that was created to make people live morally or give money to the church.
