Non-Service Connected pension benefits are available to wartime veterans who served honorably during the Mexico border period, World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam era, or the Persion Gulf War, and to his or her surviving spouse and dependent children. Pension may be payable to a veteran who is permanently and totally disabled as a result of non-service connected disability and who meets family income and net worth requirements. Upon the non-service-connected death of the veteran, his or her spouse and/or dependent may be entitled to death pension.
For assistance in applying for any VA benefit, contact a Veteran Service Officer/Assistant in your state.
