Well, why not wait until tomorrow or next week or next month to do it. Be sure. So its not an impulsive thing done out of immaturity. I mean, if life is that bad, and you're SURE you want to end it, why not "do everything you every dreamt of in life" and then, say a year from now, when you've done everything on your list, THEN kill yourself.
Make a list. Simple things. Like you'd like to see a baby born. Or get married. Or have children. Or give a poor person some money (only to find that they spend it on some cigarettes lol). But seriously, there's got to be SOMETHING you've always wanted to do. If nothing comes to mind, then you need to do more thinking about that and stop let other people run your life and start making some choices, start DREAMING for yourself. I mean, if you're gonna end your life anyway, why not just do something wacky and fun first! And then you'll probably find you can think of more after that! Just don't do anything dangerous like harm anyone else, ok? But think of something you don't think there's any way you can ever do it --- and find a way to do it. Do nothing else, but the things you want to. Make drastic changes in your life, who cares what other people think! Obviously you don't care about what they feel because you know that taking your life will hurt other people VERY badly. You may lie to yourself and say "they don't care about me, they'll be just fine when I'm gone." But you're wrong. Have you ever heard of a family NOT grieving over a loved one? Is your goal to cause them that pain?
Well, you really need to do a lot of thinking, to think through things, look for new ideas.
And I would be negligent if I didn't mention to you that the punishment for committing suicide is going to hell and re-committing the act over and over and over and over and over...

If you are sick of your life, then CHANGE it.
That is the answer. DO NOT end it.
Get some help somehow, someway. There are always people somewhere ready to help you. You just have to find it. Go to a church...ANY church - it doesn't matter. They are all willing to help. If that doesn't work, there are suicide hotlines. If that doesn't work, there may be a relative you can go to. You get the idea? Sometimes you may have to "shake your life up" to change it. Just get some good help to do this...those that don't sometime end up on the streets (or dead) and that is no place to be.
You'll be amazed at what your life can turn into if you make some small changes (or maybe you need big changes...I don't know).
Hope this helps even a little bit.

I used to feel that way. It gets better and everything always happens for a reason. Please talk to someone. If I had done it when I thought about it, I never would have met my husband, gotten invovled in a dog rescue group, or saved someone once from hurting other people (his life is now full too with a wife and kids, he could have ended up in jail for a long time). Your family will not always be as big a part of your life as they may be right now. Don't you want to be around when you get through all this bad stuff? I hope so.

I am not aware of your belief system, but I know my life is full of trials and tribulations and things that just don't seem fair. All of us are put through tests (some worse than others). As a Muslim, we are told that things happen to people for 2 reasons. These reasons are:
1) To test you.
2) To erase your past sins.
As a Muslim, I believe that as something bad happens, I am either being tested by my Creator so that He can judge my response or am being punished for sins I have committed. The good thing about the latter is that if I am being punished now, then I won't be punished for those sins again on the Day of Judgment (the day in which we will all one day face). God is actually giving me mercy by punishing me now instead of later (when the punishment is much, much more severe). I can not speak for God obviously, but from my understanding of my religion and the way I was taught about humanity, I would say your troubles in this life are occurring so that you may ask God for help. I believe it is a mercy, so that you will find Him. In Islam, we also say that "the people who have Paradise in this life don't get the Paradise of the next and that the people who have trouble in this life get Paradise in the next life." Obviously, this is to show that life just sucks and that we must endure all its troubles. The good thing is is that it is a short life in the scheme of time -- in the scheme of eternity, this life is nothing. So why end it now and be punished by your Creator (that is if you believe in one)? (God tells us that suicide is automatic Hell, that one should always endure his life and never seek to end it.) God tells us in the Qur'an that He does not put burden on a soul which that person can not bear, because He knows our strengths and weaknesses and it would be unjust of God to overburden us when He knows we would collapse. (One of God's qualities is that He is just.)
I think you should turn to your Maker, for you will truly find ease and hope. God is all-forgiving, all-merciful, and all-compassionate. Ask Him to help you get out of your troubles. It is never too late, regardless of how many sins you have created or what kind of person you have become. God tells us He would forgive the person who has killed 100 people, so long as he was truly and sincerely sorry for all of his actions and repented to Him. God knows the inner hearts and souls and truly He knows best.
I wish you the best of inner calmness and hope and may you come out of this depression and sadness. Life is great, if you live it for the right reasons.
Peace be with you.

I've felt like that before. I suffer from recurrent major depressive disorder, and I have experienced the depths of depression, but the good news is that I am here to tell you that it can get better so quick that you won't believe your eyes. I know that is not much help to say that. Those words were little help to me too when I heard them.
One thing did help me though, and that is to realize that I could always commit suicide LATER. In the meantime, I can look for things to make my life enjoyable. I can find peace and contentment. If I can't find it, THEN I can commit suicide, but LATER.
I know you don't want to be told to ask for help, but you are asking for help even now I think. I wish I could help you. But I think you need to go to a friend and talk it over. Please put thoughts of suicide on the back burner for now. Please seek friendship and methods of dealing with stress and attaining happiness.
I wish happiness comes to you soon!

You know, LIFE is a journey that takes us down many different roads. We can either let the roads take us where ever or we can choose which road to take and see where it takes us good or bad. Bad things happen to good people all the time, but that is what makes us strong. Take what life is bringing your way and turn it into something good. That is the only way we can grow stonger. Go volunteer somewhere, touch someone elses life for good and enjoy the good feeling it will bring into your life. You are incharge of where your life takes you so if you want a good life you are in total control of that. Make your life good, take control of your life, enjoy this beautiful world we have. And thank God for it.

realize that there are people that really do love you, they just don't always show it. Most importantly, love yourself!! You have a lot to offer the world.
Do you have a Bible? If not, get one right away and read Psalms and Proverbs and the Gospels. I KNOW these will help you find your way in life.
Also, go for a nature walk to find peace. There is a beautiful world out there that wants to embrace and hold you.
God bless you and I will be praying for you.

The first thing that you have to do is look at life, not your's by itself, but life collectively, and consider it into eternity. Do you seriously believe that by ending your life it will make anything better for you? You have got to know that it doesn't end with this plain of earth, there is more, that you have to face, than this life. After you realize that, consider how it will affect those closests to you. Just because you feel you are sick of your family doesn't mean that they are sick of you, and regardless of how they treat you, they don't want your life to end. Once you have come to this understanding, personally, I want you to know that there is someone who wants to be in your life that will help you deal with the issues that life has bombarded you with, that person is Jesus Christ. Maybe you've heard of Him before, but if you haven't, He was sent by God the creator of the universe, to give His life for you, so that His spirit would be here to help you in a time like this. All you have to do is ask Him to come into your heart today, to help you get through the hard times and to be saved.
So ask Him today; just say: Lord Jesus, forgive me for my sins, cleanse me from all unrighteousness with your blood that you shed when you died on the cross for me. Come into my life to day and save me, and help me to receive eternal life through you. Amen.

Have you ever wondered about the reason of our existence? Have you ever wondered why we die, and where we go after death? What will happen to us in the end? Have you ever asked yourself why God made the earth and all that is in it under man’s dominion? Why were the night and the day, and the sun and the moon created? What are we supposed to do during our lifetime? Were we created just to eat, drink, and enjoy ourselves before we die? As one poet put it:
“I do not know whence I have come.
I saw my feet walking on the road.
As they please I go and stop.
What am I doing here?
How did the road find me?
I do not know! I do not know! I do not know! ”
God has emphasized in many verses of the Qur’an that He did not create us without purpose. He said: “What! Do you think that I created you simply in jest? And that you would not be returned to Me?” (23:115) He also said: “What! Does man think that he will be left to roam at his will?” (75:36) In addition, He said: “Do people think that they will be left to say: “We believe,” and they will not be held accountable?” (29:2)
Indeed, God Has created human beings for a purpose and with a purpose: TO WORSHIP HIM ALONE (Monotheism). He said: “I have not created the Jinn and humankind except only to worship Me. I don't require provision or feeding from them. Surely Allah is the All-provider, the Possessor of all strength, the Firm.” (51:56-58) In fact, all prophets told their people to worship God alone (Monotheism) and shun worshipping His creation (Paganism). God said: “I assuredly sent among every people a messenger with the command: Worship Allah and avoid worshipping false gods.” (16:36)
Prophet Abraham, for example, believed in One God, who had no partner. Anyone who holds a different understanding of God than this has contradicted the religion of Abraham and follows falsehood. God says in the Qur’an: “Those who reject the religion of Abraham make fools of themselves.” (2:130)
Prophet Jesus was reported in the Gospels to have said: “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only’.” (Luke 4:8)
Prophet Jacob also said (in the Qur'an) to his people: “Indeed, those which you worship besides Allah are only names that you and your forefathers have established, for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command belongs only to Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the right religion, but most people do not understand.” (12:40)

Real happiness and peace can be ONLY found in submitting to the commands of the Creator and the Sustainer of this world. God has said in the Qur’an: (Truly, in remembering God do hearts find rest.)
(Qur’an, 13:28)
On the other hand, the one who turns away from the Qur’an will have a life of hardship in this world. God has said:
(But whoever turns away from the Qur’an, he will have a hard life, and We will raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment.) (Qur’an, 20:124)
This may explain why some people commit suicide while they enjoy the material comfort money can buy. For example, look at Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam), formerly a famous pop singer who used to earn sometimes more than $150,000 a night. After he converted to Islam, he found true happiness and peace, which he had not found in material success.
