is lending money to your neighbor bad if you ask him to pay you back with interest added? does the hatred of this practice influence your feelings toward the money lenders of the world?

Gaining wealth through interest in Islam is forbidden. It is essentially a means of exploitation, as we can clearly see in today's world.

Muslims are told to strive away from gaining through interest. Hence, loaning money to your neighbor and asking him to pay it back through interest is not allowed.

There are many institutions (Islamic and non-Islamic) that are starting to realize the necessity for banking which does not involve interest. I think many Muslims are starting to use these resources, rather than run the risk of being punished by God for engaging in business practices based on interest.

Good question.

Taking more than you lend is forbidden in Islam, and supporting it is worst. That's why we must not encourage such money lenders.

Interest is totally forbidden in Islam. Paying it or recieveing it both count as sins.
