We have schools so you can learn not to do things like shoot each other, though that still happens, stick your finger in a light socket, keep kids from running amok in the streets, how to tell time and to find that 17x3 is 51. Some day you will be in the grocery store with $50 and only that $50 and you will need to know what you can buy and how much. That math class will seem to have more value then. If you don't learn to speak and write English, or any language, then you can't communicate. You might wind up writing things like, "hoo is u wif" and other such moronic nonsense I have seen on Yahoo questions. If school is so boring, then ask your teachers for something harder to do. I was very bored in school until I realized I have a very high IQ and I am smarter than 98% of the people in this country, then I learned to just sit back and marvel at the stupidity that surrounds me. I often say, though it's a song quote, "I am surrounded by idiots." Stay in school, get a degree, make a lot of money and you will be happy. A few days of a boredom when you are young will help you in the long run. Just try to be okay, find a way to smile and it will be over sooner than you think.

yep, school is boring and it always will be. its necessary though. you may not think youre learning anything at all, but your brain is developing because of those painfully long days of school and homework. just keep going, and soon things will get better. i felt that every year was better than the last, and now that i will be a senior in high school i should have a great time. soon you will be able to pick all of your classes instead of just a few. and hey, would you rather have a full-time job when youre 8 years old?

It's supposed to prepare you for adult life, but these days it doesn't do that at all. At best it might help with socialization skills. My son dropped out of high school and I was quite upset at the time, but he got his GED, so it's all the same.
