I don't know if it's the quote of the week, but I found the story amusing. I seriously doubt God makes a habits of saving people because they ask for it. I stick with the idea of there maybe being a giant plan for us, but overall I believe we control our own fates. Man is doomed to freedom. Oh, and thanks for choosing me best answer last time. I really appreciate it.

Maybe God did save him, from a worse fate. Imagine how bad it would be if the lions had sodomized him instead. And recruited him into an abdominal lifestyle.

The Bible says that no man should tempt the Lord thy God. He was asking for it. God doesn't dare any man to jump into a den of lions, that's just not how he works. He doesn't need anyone to do anything foolish to show His power and receive His glory. God isn't vain like that. Whatever that man did, he did in his pursuit to prove himself to God fueled by a lie that he received from Satan. God says that if any man loves Him that all they have to do is obey His commandments, that's how you prove yourself to God.

Wow, that was pretty stupid. Maybe the guy should have paid more attention to Jesus. Satan wanted Jesus to throw Himself down from the top of the temple, but He declined.
Mat 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Luk 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
And this guy wasn't even sure God exists! Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb!
Oh, thank you for the easy two points!!

The God of Lions was obviously pleased by his sacrifice.

That's like a stranger who hardly knows me, coming up to me and demanding I give him $100 to prove that I'm a nice person! What kind of way is that to get what you want, especially from somebody you hardly know!
So, his challenge proves nothing, because he was so arrogant to assume he could blackmail God and force something out of Him.
Nobody OWES him his life. It was a gift and he squandered it!

Then God did not save him. He became lion food and his souls is,,,most likely somewhere not to pleasent. If he was too afraid to say the "J" word, then no one could help him.
