I'm 14 and I'm one of 3 people in my grade that doesn't have a cell phone. I'm constantly out with my friends and they don't like me to call home on their phones cus it uses there minutes. *They didn't mind at first but when I have to constantly call home they got frusterated* My parents want me to call all the time when I'm out. I've tried explaining to them all the reasons why I need one, Like how they want me to call home and all that but they still say you dont need one until you are older. It makes me feel really small. I even said that I will pay for It with my own money and they just wont let me. I have been working so hard to do chores when im suppose to rather than them having to tell me again to do it, and be nice to my younger sister. I have tried everything even telling them all the reasons i should have one. Anyone have any ideas?

Wal-mart and Target have them and they aren't that much. If they put money on it and tell you that it is to last for 30 days and you run out, too bad for you. RESPONSIBILITY!!!

My sister went through this same phase last summer. My parents finally bought her a Tracfone. You can get them just about anywhere these days. The phone was only like 20 bux and she has to buy her own minutes. They are like 40 or 60 minutes for 20 bux.

I think that it's a good idea to let kids have a mobile phone because if there late or taking to long at the shop all u have to do is call them. If i was your mum you'd definitly have one, when it comes to credit on the phone i think you should earn it so your parents dont have to fork out the money, because the'll have their telelpone bill to pay for calling you.
