I figured everyone would want to die in their sleep (I do) but my husband said he wants to die awake so he knows what he is dying from.

I too vote for sleep. If I was awake I would have that moment where I say oh sh*t and then do it and then I would feel bad before I died.

In my sleep. If you are sleeping, you probably won't suffer much when you do die. If you are awake, it could be because you are in pain and suffer through your death.

I would rather die in my sleep and not in a painful way...

It depends how i would die when i was awake and who was around me. I would like to be awake if i had my friends and family around me and was able to say goodbye to them
