It always reminds you that you are getting older to oldest. You are loosing your pleasant looks to a old haggard so that young person feels sorry to seat in their own places and try to help you in what possible ways they can.Oh god I have to quit this sweet sweet world in how may days.

My Friend:

In a society where etiquette, manners, or respect for Age, authority, persons or property is becoming very rare in deed, & people just do not care: do not be offended when someone young or old, has the decency of mind to show they do!!

Just be polite yourself, smile, say thank you, sit, and be glad that there is at least one good person in the world you have met today, who was wanting & willing to bless 'YOU'!!

Be thankful for 'Every' blessing you receive, or are offered in this world... even if only a seat!! You never know when it may be your last one!!

God bless...

Ah but if they don't give up there seat to an older person they risk being labelleda yob or unpolite or being persecuted by some old woman. If you a able bodied enough to not NEED the seat then just smile sweetly and be happy the the young people in your area are polite enough to offer you one.

I will give up my seat for just about anyone, young or old. Most people refuse my proposal...but when they say Yes..thank you. I feel good. I know someone may have had a worse day than me and maybe I've made them feel a little better even for a few seconds. It's not just about giving the seat to someone I see as old and fragile, it's common decency.

I gave up my seat for an old person once on the train but I think he was drunk! I usually give up my seat on the bus when it's full, but I didn't know I offended them, but if I don't then I feel rude!

This act is for more respect to some people who needs to seat instead of some younger. I don't think this offending older people.

I'm no spring chicken, but here if I see a pregnant woman or someone who seems to need it worse than I do, I give them my seat. And if I were having a bad day, I'd accept a seat from a younger person. Otherwise, I'd thank them and let them keep their seat... but would it offend me? No.

My father would still put me over his knee if I didn't respect my elders... whether it's by giving up my seat, assisting with a package, whatever! And I'm 33!! In today's age where we seem to have forgotten to respect others, I should think you'd be encouraged that there are still some people out there with manners and respect because it sure seems to be lacking!

Are you kidding what do you know about good manners? I've seen you giving some poor bloke a nasty stupid answer just because he asked how to go about getting a play into production. You are a horrible man it's about time you grew up. Mind you I'm not saying anything about you looking at your photo you're clearly mentally challenged and I don't mock the afflicted. I'm just surprised to find you in the arts and humanities section at all. (Not very nice is it being abused when you've just asked a simple question?)

The other day at a train station I offered to carry an old guys luggage up the stairs. He looked offended and said "Nah mate, I'm a man, just like you!"

So maybe it's more to do with old blokes than women, they don't like to feel infirmed or physically inferior...
