It depends on your definition of gay.
It is not a sin to just have homosexual temptations if you dont act on them.
Somone who has ever been addicted to drugs, will be a drug addict for the rest if their lives, they can stop doing drugs, but the weakness is always there, so it takes work to abstain from it.
Through redemption and restraint any sin can be overcome I believe. Homosexuality would probabley be one of the hardest though, because for some people it seems to start at a young age.
God doesnt hate gays, he hates sin. The bible shows us that homosexuality is clearly a sin, so keeping it undercontrol is the responisiblity if the person.
The religious right is vocal against homosexual lifestyles because it goes against Gods plans for the kind of love you share with a spouse, how he wanted marriage to be a union between a man and a woman, and how to raise a family. And it is a sexual perversion, so it makes it especially serious.

First of all the word Gay to describe someones sexual desire or practice is a term that is man made. The only thing that can stop sexual sin hetero or homo, is to replace the sin with Truth. If the person with the idea or concept is not willing to discuss change, then no, nothing will change. Change cannot be done by anybody but God, and with free will you have to accept that change, and be willing in the first place to admit that something needs changing. If you are totally 1000% happy with your life style then it is certainly not the time to change things. It is when things become unbearable that obviously something is out of tune. Then you must surrender to God, or TRUTH, and let Him do the changing. Until then you can identify with outside forces and identities all you want, it still is not who you are. You were made in God's image and that is not about sexual addiction or any other flesh spirit. It is found on the inside, past all of the Earth bound spirits, that have you in bondage.

I will agree to this- People will do just as they please, when they have no fear of God or His Judgment. Then why is it OK to protest a religious gathering but not a homosexual one? Talk about agendas, our children are taught in public schools that there is a gene or something that makes you a homo, and that God does not exist, and we wonder, is there a leftest agenda? Of course there is and it has a tight grip upon our schools, and police forces, and is trying to get control of our government too. If I want to hold up a sign and protest a homo rally, I should have that right. If you people have the right to protest, then so do I!

Well, I am a member of an extremely Liberal church. Me personally, i don't think there is anything wrong w/ being Gay. I think someone is born that way. just like someone is born black or white, or you know we all have our favorite colors and favorite foods. and we all have our style to be attracted to. we know what we like and we know what we don't like. so i really dont think it is a sin to be gay. yes, there might be a passage about it being wrong in the bible. but then again, there is also a passage saying that if we have mildue in our homes that we should burn them down. I mean, c'mon do we follow that? lord, NO!

Never for a moment do we lay aside our mistrust of the ideals established by society, and of the convictions which are kept by it in circulation. We always know that society is full of folly and will deceive us in the matter of humanity. It is an unreliable horse, and blind into the bargain. Woe to the driver if he falls asleep. --- Albert Schweitzer 1875

There will always be child molesters. If we tell them that molesting children is wrong, will that change them? Probably not.
There will always be rapists. If we tell them that it isn't nice to rape someone, will that take the thrill out of it for them? I doubt it.
Mr. Darwin, what do you think we ought to do about this? Just let them "do their thing"? Or should we explain to them that it is wrong?
