My dad was killed in October of 2003, so I think about my dad just about everyday and today is the hardest. But my dad was a great dad, he worked really hard to give my family everything we wanted and needed. He was a very fun loving man and did anything for anyone. He always wanted a son, and had two girls. But when he found out I was pregnant with my son he was the happiest I had ever seen him. He had such an impact on my son's life even though he was 10 months old when my dad died.
I would like to tell everyone not to take your dad's for granted. They are very special and great and you never know what you have until they are gone. Call your dad's today and tell them you love them.

The fondest memory of my Dad is him telling me about my family history and what they did for a living. He and I have been doing family genealogy for quite some time and thanks to websites I am happy to say that I have an album almost ready for him of memories of the family of my past and his.
Memories will not be forgotten they are cherished

We were in a musical together (Sweet Charity). I was a male dancer (even though I'm really a female). My dad was in the orchestra pit. We went to rehearsals almost every day for hours and it was FUN. Got up at 7 am and went to breakfast, spent hours at rehearsals and went out to dinner afterwards. He often talked about his days in the military and some nights in the bars, or jobs he had. Good conversations.

Our mom and father have been super. I each each now and then think of of the failings they did that we took with none attention. each time it snows i think of of father making us a sled and hooking it to old Pat, our horse and she or he pulled us everywhere in the country. We weren't human beings of potential yet, there became no loss of love. i could no longer have asked for greater useful mom and father or a greater useful babies. I undergo in innovations getting living house from college and waking Dad to play seize with me. He on no account pronounced no or complained. It became years later that i found out that on the time he became working 2 shifts and getting away from mattress for the time of his 8 hours off to play with me.. Now beat that for a Dad.

Him waking me up at 3 am every Saturday and Sunday morning (before he died) so I could help him deliver the Atlanta Constitution newspaper on a route he had (for fun-he was a workaholic!). We'd go get coffee and hot chocolate, pick up the papers, roll and deliver them, then head back to the Hasty House for breakfast around 6 am. I'd usually have a waffle, lots of butter and syrup, and a large glass of cold milk. He'd have coffee (percolator was always going at our house!) and eggs and bacon.
I remember one time, he woke me up to get breakfast on a Saturday morning...he said I told him I didn't want to deliver papers that morning, so he went by himself, and came back to get me before everyone else was up. I felt I'd let him down so badly, but he loved me enough to return "our time" together.
I miss him....

The time I used my old Nokia phone as a fist pack and punched him in the face.
I won that fight.
