Islam talk s about a great many things, including human rihgts, womens right, right of prisoners of war, etc. The problem with this is that what you see splashed all over the news is things done by terrorists, and they are not following their religion. In fact, they are giving their religion a bad name. There are 8 basic human rights in Islam. They are:

* The Right To Life
* The Right To The Safety Of Life
* Respect For The Chastity Of Women
* The Right To A Basic Standard Of Life
* Individual's Right To Freedom
* The Right To Justace
* Equality In Human Beings
* The Right To Co-Operate And Not To Co-Operate

Here's a site that will give you a more in-depth look at the answer you are seeking.

What are you talking about?
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was only created in 1948, over one thousand years after Islams last prophet, and yet contains a lot of the same principles as found in the Qur'an and Sunnah.

Islam definitely does discuss human rights - from the rights of women to how to treat prisoners of war, etc... The guidelines set out in Islam are actually more liberal than some of the UN's guidelines. It just takes a knowledgeable person to be able to locate that in the religion.

No Islam talks about all kinds of humans and the holy Quran is full of this. First chapter of the Quran verse 7 divides people into groups, those who know the truth and follow it, those who know the truth and refuse to follow it, and those who never knew the truth and went astray. Chapter two in the first 19 verses it talks about three kinds of peoples; the believers, the unbelievers, and the hypocrites. Regarding human rights, Islam talks in details about human rights, parent’s rights, children rights, neighbor’s rights, Muslim and non Muslim rights, women rights, prisoner’s rights, and even animals rights and in details. You just need to seek the knowledge and you will find it.

Based on what I see in the world, we must assume that in Islam human is a term that only applies to men. The Islamic cultures all seem to think that women are property of low value, based on how they are treated.

It is not what you say, it is what you do that shows your values.

there are human rights in Islam. however, religion is not what yourself is desire but it's what God wants you to do.

God law comes before human laws.

for example, in the old testimony stone to death was something common. it's God law not human rights.

and if you want to talk about human rights, then what will you think of the Hell (punishing people by burnining them)?
