It isn't. And if it were, which version of Christianity would you say it is?

How many hundreds of different versions of Christianity exist? Catholicism claims to be the original but a little study of history shows how their leadership twisted and changed the original teachings to suit their own need for power and control.

Then there is the presumption that Jesus, a JEW, even wanted to start a new religion. That is something his followers chose to do, not him.

Jesus was the Martin Luther King of his day. He was fighting to bring about important political change. The leadership within his own group (the priests) were afraid of him and the potential retribution the Romans would deliver on all of them for his heretical words and actions.

A great MAN yes, but by virtue of the old testament which is God's words proclaiming only one God, worshipping his son, who by biblical description is half human, is a violation of the original word.

What's more the new testament only contains some of the gospels written, not all. They picked and chose what suited their purposes.

So is it a religion. Yes. Is it the one true religion? Not by a long shot because even among Christians, there is no one true version.

Isn't it entirely possible that God gave humans freedom of thought because there are many, if not infinite, ways to him?

Dear sir,

I would reread you scripture closely.
Jesus never came to create Christianity but maybe rather bring the personal freedom that actually desolves and illiminates religions altogether.

Why is Christianity the one true religion.... is certainly. for anyone who knows how to communicate a sure bet to PROVOKE misleading understanding of Christ's life message and it sure is arrogant (not exactly a Christian vertue) provocative (not exactly in line with turning the other cheek) and reject other (definitely opposed to what Christ has done)

My dear friend, proselytism is the single most reason for most wars in the world today. Most conflits are provoked by religions such as Islam and Evangelical Christians (who base their doctrine on the Old Testament) who push and shove their beleives on others with either violence, racism, rejection, arrogance et forceful means.

So you want to see a better world... Live the message of Christ rather than how someone has told you to understand it. If one would only read the New Testament, maybe the world of Chrisitans would be a better place too...

Why is it not? If there is absolute truth, then one of the religions could be true. They could all be false as well. If there were all false there still has to be absolute truth with some way to explain that truth, call it religion or something else. The real question is which religious belief system has the most credibility? Which one has the most evidence for its positions? Ask each religion the following quesionts:
What do you believe?
Why do you believe it?
What is your belief based upon?
Is that a solid basis for your belief?
Why do you believe it is a solid and sound basis for your belief?

EVER|Y religion, according to it's worshippers is 'the one true religion.' From Roman Catholism, Islam, Morman to Atheism (some of those guys preach theirs like Jerry Falwell too) I got these from here don't remember who?

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is impotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Whence then is evil?” -Epicurus

"We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes." -Gene Roddenberry

"I think that there are no forces on this planet more dangerous to us all than the fanaticisms of fundamentalism, of all the species: Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, as well as countless smaller infections. -Daniel C. Dennett, Darwin's Dangerous Idea

From your response to my question it is evident that you do not seem to be a right Christian but an impostor.
From your broken US English, I understand that, The Christianity is
a good religion, But , Pity, you are not in the right way yourself!.
Despite of Jesus teachings, you have not understood how to behave with other people yet! you seem to be Satan working only
to get free money from the churches. Least I understand how to talk to the people around and respect them at my fullest.
Hope God not bless you.

Read the book "The End of Faith" by Sam Harris. All the war is because of what people believe. It's time to stop believing in things without good reason.

The only True Religion is submission to the will of the Almighty, and that is Islam.
