what i mean is, would you like to know something that would hurt you, like something that you partner did, or would you not want to know, hence.....live in blissful ignorance?

i believe in 'what you don't know won't hurt you'........it has worked for me all my life.

just curious what all of you think....................

I respect the way you see your life, but as it concerns my life I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND ME. I don't care if
with this attitude I get hurt, I just want to know which persons are my friends or not and if my partner is cheating on me. I CAN'T LIVE IN DARKNESS! That's how I feel!
As I can see, you are very sensitive person and you are afraid to get hurt. But when you are hurt, you learn the real face of life. In life nothing is easy, you have to ''bleed'' but I can understand that you are not ready for that. EVEN IN FAIRYTALES THERE ARE DRAGONS. I mean that not even in fairytales are all things perfect.
I advice you to BE STRONG AND FACE THE TRUTH EVERYTIME! We all know that truth sometimes hurts, but for your own sake DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH!!!
You say that blissful ignorance has worked for you until now.........
but IN WHAT COST? Think about it......... I may not be so wrong at all......

I have always been a big believer of the fact that ignorance is bliss, but I choose not to live my life that way. If something's happening, I want to know about it. It's the same as tragedy in the world, you can pretend like awful things don't happen and avoid learning more about it so that you don't have to deal with all the negative emotion and feel sad about it, but if you really want to make a difference in the world and help, then you need to be aware of everything that's going on. And what you don't know really can hurt you, by the way. For example, if your partner is cheating on you and you don't know it, the risk for STD/AIDS is higher.

I want to know from the person immediately because it reallly hurts when you learn the truth by accident from someone else.It is nothing like thinking that everyone knew the truth but you. It can really make you feel like a fool. The truth always has a way of revealing itself anyway no matter how you try to hide it.

No. Sometimes what you don't know can either harm or kill you. Depending on what your partner is doing behind your back, it can come back to haunt you or your children. For instance, let's say your partner is on the down low and infects you and your unborn child with the HIV virus. Still think ignorance is bliss?

I don't believe in it, because I can handle the truth better than a lot of others. Plus, I like to deal with things head on. ESPECIALLY in a case where it's about something my partner did or did not do.

Some people cannot handle the answers to the questions they ask. It seems that you are capable of distinguishing this. Those who can't always get hurt and are of low self esteem. They are the ones who are most guilty of the accusations they exhibit themselves.

to a certain extent i do believe in it, but many times i like to know and not let them know and see how long they go thinking they can get a way with it, then when and if they tell you about it it bothers them a lot more knowing that you knew and didn't say a word

All people are imperfect. To know, but have the capacity to forgive and still love, is bliss.
