Love is not a feeling, but a commitment. Feelings are fleeting, momentary and subject to all kind of external stimuli. Commitment is long term. Feelings can never be trusted, but commitment brings with it a desire to keep the relationship. What most people call love is really lust---a desire to satisfy a physical sensation. True love goes beyond the physical and enters the spiritual realm. Jesus gave his life because he loves you---this is real love. A soldier gives his life on the battlefield for his countrymen---this is real love. A mother sacrificess her personal desires for the sake of her children---this is real love. Do not look for love in a pretty faces or a handsome body---look for love in a beautiful soul. The best relationships are those built on trust and commitment, not upon sex. Any relationship that is physical, be is sexual or materialistic, is doomed to failure. This is why the stars of Hollywood can never be happy---they can never make commitments based on truew love; their relationships are based on celebrety status.

A heart felt strong passion and emotional feelings (rather inner urge) for some one, which you cannot resist at any cost. Love does not necessarily indicates towards sex only, as love is of three kinds. Love towards your parents (Affection); love towards your children. Of course this is some what different type of affection.

But, what the present day life recognises about the love, that is the LOVE between a boy and a girl, a man and a woman. It is a unique type of love, which even the lovers cannot express in words but have a unique type of feelings of the hearts of both of them.

Love can mean many things to all people. However to me it means wanting to be with the person you love. To have a dull ache in the pit of yor stomach until you are with them again. To wonder if they are thinking of you as you re thinking of them. To count the hours until you are together again. To be honest with your feelings. Someone will not know your needs unless you tell them.

Love is a very strong feeling of affection. Love cannot easily be described for it is a mixture of emotions, people can love and be loved in different ways.Love is the attraction of one person to another person, object or sensation. It is debated whether animals can experience love. Love is created by chemical reactions in the brain. Eating chocolate releases the same chemicals in the brain giving one the feeling of love.
Love is a relative sensation; different people can feel or experience love in different ways. As a result it is something that is difficult to define.A common belief is that there is a difference between being "in" love and loving someone. Being in-love is something which many people believe is obsessive; people think about the person or thing they are in love with constantly, the person or animal (if that is possible) is consumed by the one he/she is "in love" with. There are many forms of love: self-love, divine love, love for another person (family member, friend, lover), just to name a few. In fact, love does not even have to involve people; for example, love can exist in regard to an object or ideology. Psychology divides love into three basic catergories: brotherly love, romantic love, and physical love. Theoretically, having all three makes true love. Often times love can be confused for another feeling; what was thought to be love may not have even been love, but another feeling. However, as was said earlier, it is hard to tell if the feeling of love was ever present since it is hard to define in the first place. There are other instances when love can be corrupted; love was once present, but another feeling, such as jealousy or anger, has taken over and overshadowed the feeling of love. The basis for all love is respect, esteem, and admiration. Respect must be present in order for love to germinate and grow. One cannot love someone or something one disrespects, hates, or loathes.Everyone thinks of love in many different ways. Some people believe in love at first sight, while others believe in a love that takes time to grow and become great. It has the power to drive one to greater deeds, sometimes crazy actions. It is considered the best and highest of all emotions, possibly even the ultimate purpose in life. Many feel love is the feeling of being addicted to someone, or something in the sense that you feel you couldnt live without them/it. The feeling of knowing that that certain person/thing is indespensable to you.Love can be well described as chemical chaos, although romantic love is seen to fit this decription the best. Brotherly love, the love for family and people close to one is an innate feeling. Some people confuse love with infactuation, which can also be strong feeling of affection. you could say this is not true love but sometimes known as 'puppy love'. this usually occurs in young age especially with teenagers

Love is when you understand each other, and have communication and trust. When you lose both, it doesn't work out.
