A guy I date took me to a lake for a weekend and we stayed in an awesome condo, went out a few times...yada, yada. Anyway, he paid for the whole weekend. I thought it was really cool of him and I want to get him a present to show my appreciation. But guys are so hard to buy for...what would you suggest I get him?

When you ask questions like this I feel like you are baiting me.
I will restrain myself.
If you know how to do needlepoint maybe you could "tat" him a nice scriptural quote.
Or.
You could just put out.

does yada yada mean that you were intimate? if so just buy a really nice greeting card, cook a great meal and thank him for the wonderful weekend.

I understand how you feel. How do we show our appreciation?
Sometimes we don't need to buy anything. Like a few said here, he enjoys your company or he wouldn't ask.
A nice home cooked meal, a couple of great bottles of wine, if he likes that.
I have a similar situation that whenever I try to reciprocate, it is refused or weasled out of.
Next time I will not offer or ask, but just do... :))

Be cool, your not working on a trade here, if its a relationship you want. Wait until there is something you can do for him along that lines movie concert etc. Dinner and a movie at home would be nice with a bottle of wine.

I never understood the need to return a favor,or a compliment,or a kind act...
Why? Do you feel guilty if you don't give him something?
How about a smile and a thank you for the great weekend.
What else is there?
And if he expects something in return he wasn't sincere in the first place.

You showed your appreciation by going with him. If he's the kind of man to do all of that for you, I can't imagine he would need a present as a show of thanks. But if you want to give him a gift just cause you want to give him a gift...make it something simple and classy, like a nice meal either prepared by you or your favorite restaurant.

Honetly, guys have a one track mind. We like to say we don't. But when it comes down to it. Food, Sex and sports are it. So feed his favorate food, while dressed in next nothing, while he watches his favorate sport ie. football baseball what ever. Chris Rock said one time " Turn on the TV, make me a sandwich, rub my nuts and shut the hell up."

It really depends on the guy, but, does he have a watch? Get a really spiffy one with some cool gadgets and it being waterproof is a must!

A watch is a small but classy show of affection and esteem. Better yet, it will not give the wrong impression.

A nice Thank You card. Maybe ask him out for a date. If you already slept with him...you have paid enough.
