I don't think that age matters in a relationship, especially in your case. You are an adult, and as long as you both have feelings for each other, let them flow, and see what develops.

What is the problem? Providing that you are a mature 20 year old, the 31 year old guy is not much different from you because simply, the 31 year old guy is very seldom considered mature by most women in his age group. This is 2006 and the chronological age /numbers/ shouldn't play any role in judging people. It is all about how we are as people, how we behave, how healthy we are, choices we make, how we feel. If it feels good being in this guy company, if he is good to you and you are having fun, you have meaningful conversations, you are learning from his life experiences, then stop putting up the age barriers...
A relationship with an older intelligent guy can only be beneficial to you. Look at him as a person, ignore the numbers. When we are 20 year old, someone just 5 years older than us looks "old" to us but when you will be 31 years old, a man 11 years older than you will feel ok..

Go for it, I was 19 and with a 31 year old for a year. Your old enough now for age not to matter.

Since they are both over 18 and are happy together then I think that is fantastic! Look how many people sit around and complain because they have no one so I think it's great that they found each other. Besides I see nothing wrong with age gap relationships and have been in a few of them myself.

My wife is 38-I am 53-we have been together for almost 21 years now. I see no problem with the age difference.

Wife of Shakespear was more than nine years older than Shakespear. What if a girl can have 11 year older man? Nothing wrong, when your heart has accepted him.

I don't think age matters when it comes to a relationship. If you are attracted to or are in love with someone, what should age matter? What matters is you really like or love the person. To hell with what other people think. What's important is what makes you happy.
