Can anyone suggest a good audio editor for my Mac. Im not really a fan of Audacity , but i would like something similar. Ie: not too professional but a good range of features for trimming, adjusting volumes, copying and pasting sections etc.
I used to use 'Goldwave Audio Editor' [http://www.goldwave.com/] when i had a Windows machine. Now i need one for my intel mac. (So a universal binary application would be nice , but not essential)

If you know of a good medium level (not too novice, not too advanced) audio editor for a Mac please give me a suggestion.

Thanks!

PS: Freeware would be great, but i dont mind paying a reasonable price for the software. But not a huge amount because i wont be using the software professionally.

I've used Peak from Bias before. They might be a little pricy for what you're looking for, but they have several different products, starting at $99.

I have a Mac, and mine came with a program called Garage Band, which I find is the best thing to use do what you want with songs. You can get it online, but I can't say if it's free or not. It's really a good one, I'd recommend buying it if you work with that kind of thing alot. Best of luck.
