I have a bit of an odd relationship with my dad but should I e-mail him today?
I said I wouldn't but am I being harsh.

Yeah, email to him just wish him "Happy Father's Day". Since deep down in your unconscious mind you still think of him. I am sure you would want to change it for a better ending. I don't know how odd is yours but I have met mine at my mother's funeral and that was my first and maybe my last. I don't know how and where is he now.
So just send an email, don't keep thinking about it.

I do not know your situation but call him. If something would happen to him tomorrow you will have no regrets.All you have to do is say I just called to wish you a Happy Fathers Day. Then if need be tell you have to go that you have plans and end the call.

I have an odd relationship with mine as well. In the past I have never aknowledged Father's Day to/with him, however this year I have made up my mind to do so. I say give it a shot, what could it hurt?

something like this and "dad...I'm so sorry". even if you didn't do anything wrong.
He is your Dad, if you don't care you wouldn't ask us in yahoo!

If you have a relationship at all, count yourself lucky. Some don't have one at all. Yes, e-mail him / go see him / call him.
Tell him Happy Fathers Day.

when it comes to the relation of father and doughter, one person need to come short and it is nice to be the doughter. or both of you have to gorgot everything oneday, it is better to do it in fathers day. make sure you forgot the odd things and give him a good surprise.
