the fact that your gums bled is telling you that you have inflamed tissue due to bacteria not being cleaned off of those teeth. the best thing to do is continue brushing but not HARD - just a gentle circular almost massaging of the gums- if you add flossing to this- the bleeding should stop in about 2 weeks. in the meantime, i imagine the plague will also be removed. usually, it is recommended to brush for 2 minutes two or three times a day but GENTLY and thoroughly.

calculus does form in about 48 hours if the plague is not removed...the only way to remove this is to let your hygienist take it off. otherwise, the calculus remains on the teeth- continuing to trap more bacteria and acting like a splinter to your gums.

i hope i helped you some. good luck

Is the build up soft or hard? If it's soft, then it's plaque, and it should come off with brushing (just one time should do it). But if the build up is hard, which it sounds like it is, then it's calculus (tartar), and it can only be removed by a dentist or hygienist. I'm not sure why you don't want to go to the dentist, but prevention of disease is cheaper than treatment of disease. Plaque and tartar build up can lead to periodontal disease, which ultimately leads to tooth loss. Visiting the dentist now may be intimidating, expensive, and/or scary, but it's worth it in the long run. Don't take care of your teeth now and you will pay the consequences later with the time and money it takes to get bridges, implants, and/or dentures.

the only way you will get rid of Plaque is to circulate on your Dentist/Hygienist. they're going to use the appropriate contraptions which will accurately get rid of the plaque and leave your mouth feeling clean/clean! you are able to cut back the construct up of plaque in between habitual visits by utilising brushing/rinsing your enamel two times an afternoon with a flouride toothpaste and a powerful mouthwash! Flossing is likewise a extensive help, it wont cut back the construct up of plaque from in the back of the enamel, in spite of the indisputable fact that it is going to get rid of a large number of sins from between the enamel that can and could reason problems if no longer bumped off!

Get the sonicare toothbrush. This does an EXCELLENT job of getting rid of the buildup. And your gums will bleed because you are causing the beginning of gum disease by not brushing. Also the sonicare can delay dental visits for cleanings beause it does such a great job of removing tartar and plaque. I use it myself.

Sounds like the plaque has been building up for a long time. Maybe ultrasonics is the answer. Then afterwards the brushing will keep plaque in check.

Well, stop worrying. You should have your teeth professionally cleaned twice a year, anyway. You won't have done much of lasting import in only two weeks, and even brushing regularly won't eliminate the need for professional cleaning.

Schedule one at a periodontist's office for the best job.

I bet your breath was foul.. not a good thing with the ladies.

The best way is to go to the dentist and get a cleaning.

You can also get a dental scraping tool to get the plaque off.

You need to floss. Just brushing is not enough since plaque can be "hard". Better still, go to dentist.

Brush regularly, and it will gradually wear off. Your parents tell you to brush for a reason. Don't forget that part of brushing your teeth is to freshen your breath and you've been going to work with stinky breath!!! Yuk!
