How do I change the cursor from a block to an underscore on Windows XP?

My office PC is an underscore, home is a block, driving me mad. Thanks.

go to control panel then to appearance and themes, up in the left hand corner you should see ..mouse pointers..then just go from there.. the cursor is the pointer..right? uh oh now im confused
