they are loving, good with kids, smart, loyal (i guess all dogs are), easy to train (because they want to please you).
potty training is a breeze for them. they are real clowns, they would do something that you could not imagine some dogs would do, if you don't have a sense of humor you might not appreciate it.

OK, golden retrievers are really cute. They are smart dogs that learn fast. They are very playful, great with little kids. I don't think I've ever heard one growl. They really demand attention and love to always be around people. One bad thing about them is they shed, but you could groom the regularly. Well good luck â¥

Oh my gosh, this could go on and on! Goldens are the most loyal breed of dog I know. They are intelligent, easy to train, EXCELLENT with children, loyal and helpful, affectionate and trustworthy.
They are good watch dogs, as they can sense danger from far away. (I live in the country, and our golden has warned us when a black bear was near.) They also don't bark too much, either. They are playful, but know how to calm down and snuggle, too.
Trust me when I tell you that you are in for a real treat! You couldn't ask for a better dog! Congratulations!

I have had the pleasure of having a "goldie" for almost ten years now and there are many good things. Their gentle nature and their love for everyone is a good trait-only problem here is that they do love everyone and most would gladly go home with anyone! Their tails wag constantly and they look at you like you are the most important thing in the world-makes you feel like a million dollars. Always friendly, always smiling- very contagious!!

It's more like what ISN"T good about a golden. I have a female who is so awesome. She is smart and very protective over the family. She loves the kids. I think you will love your new puppy

nothing
a dog id a lovely animal but in someone Else back yard
all the dogs are the biggest problem to keep them right
they are barking you must go to the vet a lot you must Kline the streets after him you must take them 3 times a day for a walk ,you can't have a quiet meal he is in your face bagging food all the time you can't have a nice phone conversation because he is barking in the same time
your friend don't like to come to your house because he is barking and biting everybody if they move around ,you must have shampoos and a special bath room only for the dog
in one world a dog is a lovable trouble

They are so gentle and extremely smart. They also are used as seizure dogs as they can smell illness. I had one that babysat my toddler every second of every day. (She would pull the baby's diaper to sit her down when she did dangerous things) After that I had another. He was the smartest dog I ever met. He used to dance and sing (Who let the dogs out) He liked to use the speaker phone. He loved everyone. He liked to listen to books when I read. He even opened (just opened not tore up) all of the Christmas presents. He didn't chew them. I guess he wondered what was inside all of that wrapping. The bad thing about this type of dogs is that their hips go bad and also that it is too easy to get too attached.

Oh, they are so cute! But, they tear up so much stuff! They go around the neighborhood and get things to chew up! I have one named Jack and wouldn't take a million for him. He's Great!
