I don't belong to any organized religion. I'm Presbyterian (with apologies to Will Rogers). I PERSONALLY don't believe in it for any reason except MAYBE rape, incest, life of the mother.

My religion (Catholic) says it is wrong no matter what. I completely agree with it too, and am totally prolife because of that. Any fetus is potential to be a human, has it's own dna, therefore is not part of the woman's body but an indivdual in the mother's body, and we must help the voiceless, and who is more voiceless than an unborn baby?
But even if my religion wasn't prolife, I would still be, because to me it is murder, though many do not know or understand that, it's really sad and a hard thing to talk about. Telling someone they commited murder for having an abortion, so I don't but I strongly tell people my beliefs that it is wrong.
God Bless ♥

I don't subscribe to a particular denomination, if that's what you mean by "religion." My beliefs regarding abortion come from my own morals, ethics and reading of God's Word. God says that murder is WRONG. Plain and simple; doesn't require any deep thought or interpretation.

Muder is different than "kill." Because if Christians insist on saying, "Thou shall not kill" they're turning themselves into vegetarians (I wonder if they know that?). MURDER is one human unlawfully murdering another human.

Unfortunately in this day and age, we've made abortion lawful. That, in my opinion, should never have been done. There are very few "lawful" murders. God allows an eye for an eye in His word. For that reason, I believe capital punishment is still in line with God's Word. However, a child in his/her mother's womb has never even had the opportunity to breathe on his own, much less do something that should result in his life being snuffed away.

Consequently, I believe abortion is a sin and morally wrong. I don't care whether the pregnancy is a result of rape or incest or even if the mother's life is in danger. Abortion is wrong.

Is killing wrong? Unless it can be proven that a fetus isn't alive, I will say that abortion is wrong. I can sympathize with someone who has been raped, molested, or any other type of abuse, but every child has a right to live.

What people don't realize, like accepting Christ as your savior, whether or not you want to get an abortion is up the person. It is choice. I agree that everyone should be given the choice.

There are a lot of christians out there that say to ban abortion, what they should be doing is spreading the gospel, only then will people see the truth. Don't cut off the nose to spite the face.

Dunno about other religions, but BibleGod has nothing against the killing of unborn infants. Read the Old Testament, where he commands the Israelites to slaughter even their enemies' children and pregnant women. When he sent the flood, he killed not only sinful adults, but innocent babies, children, and fetuses still in the womb, without expressing a single regret. Same thing with Sodom and Gomorrah--he claimed not to be able to find any righteous people in those towns, ignoring all the infants and children who lived there. I guess even they were evil, or he wouldn't have burned them all to death. In the Mosaic laws, if a woman miscarries because of an injury, the one causing the injury has to pay her husband a sum of money, thus showing that, to God, a fetus represented nothing more than a loss of potential income. It was not considered murder, for murderers were punished with death, not with paying a fine.

We were created to Praise and Worship our Creator, God the Father. His Son Jesus Christ formed us in His own image and breathed into our nostrils and we became a living soul.
We betrayed God in the garden of Eden when Eve was tempted by the devil and she ate of the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Then she gave the fruit to Adam and he ate also.
Eve had been told by the Devil, in the form of a serpent, that if she ate of the fruit that she would be like god. But this brought sin and death on mankind.
God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whosoever would believe on Him should not died but have everlasting life. John 3:16
I Pray that this helps you.
David

No, even if my religion says I can get an abortion, I would never think of doing it. If you are gonna fool around with sex then you need to be responsible enough to care for the children that you make.
