Its got all its feathers but its still very young looking.. its about a foot away from the tree where its nest is in. the nest is about 6 feet in the tree. the mother is sitting on the nest. its still alive and looking around but its breathing kind of heavy i think. probably because its in the sun. help! i dont want it to die! do i wait for the mom to leave and then put on gloves and put the baby back, or do you think the mom pushed the baby out because it was too old or because there was something wrong with it? what should i do?

Nope the mother wont reject the baby bird if you touch it.

The best thing to do would be putting the baby bird back in the nest and watch if the parent knocks it out again if so you better take it and feed it this formula till you can get it to a wild life rehaber.

1 boiled egg.

half a cup of dog food with all the vege's and fruites in it more than corn.

1 tums yep thats right tums it has good vitamines for its bones its ok if its mint flavour.

and some apple sauce. Mix till its soft like porage.

And feed it with a stick or somthing this is the best formula for a baby bird I should know I use it my self for all my birds.:)

Good luck.

Just try to put it back now, she probably didn't push it. Most likely it thought it was big enough and it wasn't....if it falls again though there will be no saving it. Nature has a way of deciding these things and all you can do is to try to put it back in it's nest and hope for the best. Best wishes

Don't touch the bird and wait for the mother to show that she wants it back in the nest. It could be it simply fell in which case the mother will show some attempt to nurture it. Otherwise it could be just as you said, the mother has rejected it. If she shows signs of nurturing then I would probably use some cotton gloves and attempt to replace it in the nest.

Put it back in the next and see what happens and ignore the people that say the mother won't have anything to do with it if you handle it. It drives me crazy that so many people say that.

I have handled all my bird's eggs and babies while cleaning out their nest and not once has the mother rejected any of the eggs or birds. It really is an old wives tale. I think it was invented to stop children from interfering with bird's nests.

The key is keeping your smell off of the baby and getting it back quickly. Use gloves but avoid handling it much as possible. Try getting a small box and use something to get it into the box.

Don't wait! Try to scare mom off the nest and while she is gone replace the baby. This may be tough if she has other babies in there, she may try to protect the nest.

She might have pushed it, you can put it back in the nest if you want. Contrary to popular belief, birds don't have a sense of smell so it's not like she will reject it. Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly afterwards as wild birds can be dirty animals and carriers of disease.
Good luck=)

the main suitable could be to permit the mothers and fathers guard the little chook. It replace into sturdy to place the toddler in a container, yet attempt to place it intense in a tree, no longer too some distance from the nest. often the birds feed their babies, you will ought to visual reveal unit them heavily and proceed to be hidden, in the event that they see you they are going to no longer feed the babies. I had already 3 toddler birds in my backyard which fell from the nest and have been fed by making use of their mothers and fathers interior the container, that they had already feathers however. in case you're particular that the mothers and fathers do no longer feed it you ought to purchase particular food for toddler birds which you could blend with water and feed them,( do no longer supply them bread or milk, small birds eat bugs that are pre-digested by making use of the mothers and fathers), yet that's amazingly very confusing. i attempted as quickly as and it did no longer artwork.

1:> First don’t touch the bird with your bare hand.
2:> Put globs on your hand and then but it back.
3:> Now watch the mother of birds. It may be possible that she reject the baby bird. If she reject then I advice the u take care of that baby bird.

You can put it back because birds can't smell good. This would be the best thing to do. Or you could take it to a animal shelter or something like that.
