Just wondoring how common it is as i have it?

Sorry to hear that,although it's not life -threatening and responds well to regular treatment.,thank God!.
Haemochromatosis is not too common;about 1 in every 400 people in the UK has the predisposition for it.
The treatment -regular venesection and/or phlebotomy -can be uncomfortable,but the benefits far outweigh this.
You can also help yourself ,diet wise,by abstaining from eating offal (liver and kidneys),drinking alcohol or taking vitamin preparations that contain iron supplements.
