Yes. Example, several people can observe the same incident and each will come away with a slightly different perception of what happened. Go a little deeper - what you believe will also shape your reality. Some folks look at a tree and believe there must be a god. Others will simply marvel at the mystery of life.

Reality is truly different things to different people. Who really knows what reality is? Doesn't seem to matter, each of us deals with our own reality the best we can. For some folks, reality is so different from the mainstream that they are unable to function in society.

Hope this helps answer yuor question....

An illusion is a misperception. You are thinking of a hallucination. Reality is not a hallucination. Yes, we misperceive reality all the time. We take what we see, hear, feel etc and use that info to create a fluid, comprehensible picture of the world, of life etc and since there is so much information that has been filtered out, missed, or doesn't fit into our preconceptions, we are only sensing a fairly small amount of what is actually there. I'm not talking about anything mystical. I'm just talking about all the available stimuli that we miss. It's nearly impossible to get a complete accurate picture.

What is called reality is an illusion. That is, physical objects, bodies, earth, sky...but Reality is no illusion. Physicality is a simple projection of mind, perceived in the perfect mind of God's sleeping Son.

Things non-physical are illusion as well, if they are projected rather than created; evil, sin, death, suffering, anything that is opposite to perfect Love is illusion, for perfect Love is all there is. Thus, there can be no opposite to Reality. Nothing unreal exists.

Our perception of the facts that we see is our own reality. The illusion of reality suggests a possible psychological problem. Each person's reality is a mirrored visualization of their own perception. In answer to your question, it is my belief that reality is not an illusion, unless your perception of reality is distorted BY an illusion!

It's a very interesting question! I would say, our perception can't fully "perceive" what is in- and outside ourselves. What should we do? I think, we should look for what is "on the edge", meaning by that controlling ourselves first, then - looking outside. And looking outside do not forget about controlling our own, first of all - emotional - behavior. Will it be like driving a car? To some extent - yes. But the main goal of living a life is not just driving, no way! It includes accepting what is the best for us and for others. And, after all, even if the life is not "fully" real, it was started for some reason, or not? So - live it, but look for the good. Good luck!

It seems to me folks that folks are carried by a natural instinct or prepossession to repose faith in their senses, and without any reasoning, or ever before the use of reason, we always suppose an external universe which depends not on our perception but that which would exist as if we and every sensible creature were absent or annihilated. It seems also evident that when men follow this blind and powerfull instinct of nature, they always suppose the very images presented by the senses to be the external objects, and never entertain any suspicion that the one are nothing but representations of the other. This very table which we see white, and which we feel hard, is believed to exist independently of our perception and to be something external to our mind which percieves it.
But this universal and primary opinion of all men is soon destroyed by the slightest philosophy, which teaches us that nothing can ever be present to the mind but an image or perception, and that the senses are only the inlets through which these images are conveyed, without being able to produce any immediate intercourse between the mind and the object. The table which we see seems to diminish as we move farther from it; but the real table, which exists independent of us, suffers no alteration. It was, therefore, nothing but it's image which was present to the mind. Thes are the obvious dictates of reason; and no man who reflects ever doubted that the existences which we concider when we say THIS HOUSE and THAT TREE are nothing but perceptions of the mind.

reality is relative, meaning, that which relates to ones personal mission is very real, however, each living being interprets things on a personal level and that is where it gets confusing.

Perception is based on what we have already experienced and the way we look at those experiences and how we perceive the new information relative to what we already think we know.

The bottom line is that, everything is an illusion and the reality is, to try to gain more than one perception.

Everything we think we know about the world is filtered through our perception and our interpretation, so in a sense, yes... but we can get close enough to reality that it makes no difference. If that were *not* the case, we couldn't be as successful as we actually are in living in this world.

In a sense, yes it is. If you look at the sky through an xray camera, or infrared, or radio wave, or whatever, you see that great deal of reality is completely out of our perception. As for someone dying, yes they actually died, but the meaning of it is relative. What if you lived away and found out 3 years later? What did it actually mean to you?

anything that is subject to change is illusion, anything that is changeless (the self, the unseen real) is eternal .reality is produced in the mind ,before any action there is the thought of the action ,even a reaction is a creation of the subconscious mind, if it wasn't you wouldn't react .in this context ,yes reality is an illusion
