While I'm not positive, I would suggest finding information about the Etruscans, an Italian culture that many people argue is the oldest civilization on the planet. They kept records of a sort, ergo, if your speaking historically, and the Etruscans are the oldest civilization on the planet, and they kept records, you could make the assumption that thie would be where you'd find the when, what, where and why of the first documented war. Hope this helps!

Depends on your definition of "documented". The oldest texts documenting an acutal war are probably the accounts of Sargon of Akkad, a Mesopotamian emperor, circa 2300 BCE. The texts are supported by the archeological record. Sargon conquered much of what we now know as the Middle East.
If you open your definition of "documentation", cave paintings in Europe (ca. 12,000 BCE) depict groups of men armed with bows and firing arrows at one another. Whether this constitutes warfare or just an isolated battle is open for interpretation. Engagements of this type were probably conflicts over hunting territory.
EDIT:
lucky_j_2003: Which Ramses? Ramses I began the nineteenth dynasty around 1292 BCE. To my knowledge, there's no recorded history older than about 6500 BCE, much less 22,300.
