In yoga, you'll learn how to alleviate stress... by relaxing your mind, especially, the conscious mind.
Yoga takes a lot of practice, sadly I have not been able to achieve a good level of relaxation thru yoga. My husband says I think too much!
The second best thing for me is to get enough good night sleep. It's difficult to achieve if you have a baby waking up several times in the night. So what I'd do is to sleep separately (not in same room as my baby) at least 2 nights a week.
Some ppl just can't sleep soundly at night, Then see a doctor or reduce cafeine/stop smoking, stuff like that. You can achieve a healthy body thru relaxed mind.

Meditation is the practice of focusing the mind, often formalized into a specific routine. Meditation is usually recognized as a component of Eastern religions, originating in Vedic Hinduism. It encompasses any of a wide variety of spiritual practices which emphasize mental activity or quiescence. Meditation can also be used for personal development, such as the exercises of Hatha yoga.
Meditation is usually defined as one of the following:
a state that is experienced when the mind dissolves and is free of all thoughts
focusing the mind on a single object (such as a religious statue, or one's breath, or a mantra)
a mental "opening up" to the divine, invoking the guidance of a higher power
reasoned analysis of religious teachings (such as impermanence, for Buddhists).

First believe that you want to relax your mind. Then remove all things from your mind & think of the one thing that you think best attracts your attention. Not something emotionally affecting you something like a clock or a pendulum. Best is to see a white nothingness. See it in all glory. Don't want anything dont expect anything. Don't wish for anything. If you are able to see in your mind a clear image of what you want to see, maintain the image & retain it for awhile. Tell me later how you feel.
