Depends on where you're going. Dinner? Depends on the restaurant too. If you have khaki's wear them with a pull over shirt. No matter where you go you'll be fit to go! Have fun!

wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing..i mean, it's just your dad, but since it's Father's Day, ask him what he'd want you to wear

If not wear something smart / casual you'll look fine for most places. Don't worry though, I'm sure you're dad won't mind what you look like. (And shouldn't it be you taking him out?)

I don't believe in fathers day, it's ridiculous. Because if you do your token duty on that day, then fathers can be ignored for the rest of the year.
