Why is sex considered dirty when no dirt is involved?

Ie unless you are into mud wrestling or stuff involving poop or pee why do folk use terms such as dirty, filthy, and negative words...like fornication...


When making out is lovely and feels good and makes people like each other and be happy... You just need to follow the saftey rules and use the equipment like you would in any other field. Ie seat belts etc.

And as for dirty... Just shower first.

Why would you want to hurt anyone when its about having fun...

Sex between two consenting adults within a loving relationship is not dirty as long as neither makes the other uncomfortable by doing something the other dislikes. The reason people use the word dirty is because they've been led to believe that sex isn't a good thing and a forbidden act unless sanctified by marriage. Physically it can be a messy business especially if the proper precautions aren't taken to prevent the spread of disease or unwanted pregnancies. It's perfect clean as long as both adults are happy with what's going on and it isn't just purely soulless sex giving temporary pleasure.

As to those who mistake rape for something sexual - it isn't - it's about power over another - it's nasty and awful and people who do that are usually sexually inferior and unable to have a normal loving relationship.

Rape is sexual activity, but I doubt that a rational person would want to participate in it.

It's dirty, I suppose if you feel somehow cheapened after the act, or before it. Sex should leave you and your partner feelign more fulfllled and completed by the acts, than not. One noight stands give you the ecstacy of the moment, but nothing worth treasuring. Sort of like fast food, which fills your belly, but doesn't really cause you to say 'wow!'

that is because most of teh time sex is regarded outside of marriage (meaning it is not sanctified) or for underage (being too naive to know what sex is about, afraid that they might misuse it).
