Finally, a wise person speaks in Yahoo. I have often wondered if God is real or not...and have been waiting a long time looking and waiting for someone to answer this question. Now you have answered it. Thank you. I have many other questions about the mysteries of life and the universe...but there was not one wise man to be found. Until now.
By the way...people say all kinds of things. Why does this annoy you?

Why are you so angry? If you don't believe in God, why are you attacking others for believing in him...
God is my father and I find my strength when I pray to him, and when other's pray for me... let's see, I'd like you to tell you my experience with God..

I have a baby cousin who was born with SMA type 1. Her parents were devastated when they found out, because this disease is something that breaks down the muscles gradually, eventually ending in death because the internal organs stop working. They were told that their first child would not live past two years old.
Well she is beautiful, and wonderful and all my relatives were so heartbroken. The one who really was affected was the father. He is sort of young, and never really had strong faith in God, and when he learned his first daughter was going to die at first he blamed God and cursed at him went out and drank, you name it. After a while he was telling people there is no God, and became very dark and angry. His girlfriend (the mother) was the opposite. She decided she wanted to become Catholic and started going to church with us once a week and bringing her baby.

In several months the baby came down with a fever and they took her to the hospital. They found out she also had pnemonia and this was very dangerous, because she was already having muscle problems, like she couldn't keep her mouth closed. After a day the pnemonia got worse, and her right lung collasped. When we got the call from my grandma we thought this was it.. she's close to death already. I decided to pray a full rosary, getting down on my knees and saying it for hours, and later my parents joined me. We had never really done this before together and it was a great experience, at the same time we wanted to cry.

While the parents were in the hospital a friend came by and gave the parents a bible as a gift. The father decided to read it, and I think it inspired him.

Then there was another call from my grandma at 11 something at night. The baby had stopped breathing and turned blue. The doctors were doing all that they could and she asked for our prayers more than ever.

I continued praying, and prayed to St. Jude, who is the saint of impossible cases. My friends were praying, a guy I know who even lives across the country asked his whole church to pray, the baby had A LOT of people praying for her.

It turned out the next day we got a call and she was ok, hooked up to a breathing machine and somehow her lung had gotten better. It was a miracle that she was alive.

The weeks in the hospital were hard for the parents they would sleep there. Finally the baby was ready to come home. They gave her a feeding tube, a breathing mask, and a way to suck saliva out of her mouth so she won't choke. The doctors there performed miracles and were wonderful, they ended up saying the baby girl was the smartest they had ever seen in the practice. She is very bright, and back then she was not even one but would shake her head no and yes to things like if she loves you or not.

After the baby was able to come home they had her nursery painted and everything nice for her. The next Sunday we went to church and the father was there too, praying hard, being thankful for his daughter's recovery and he hadn't set foot in a church for at least 5 years. He goes every week now, and has found support from it and his friends. We are all there for them and we know that it was a miracle, and those doctors were powered by God's love, to heal their baby. Right now it is about a year later and the baby is doing pretty good. They also had another baby boy and so far he seems very healthy and fine.

So yep this my personal experience watching people find faith, and the miracles that come from it, and I continue to ask God to help us so our family can remain strong and the baby happy and healthy, because she truly is our joy.
I hope you find out that faith is what helps so many people just keep living.
You don't have to believe, but you should love those that do, because great things can come from true faith.
God bless u :]

No Christians that I know blame God when something goes wrong.
This should be quite simple to non-believers. WE BELIEVE!
After 2006 years scientists still have not figured out where the earth came from. Many theories, but nothing real. Why is it taking so long to disprove God spoke it into existence?
Bottom line, WE BELIEVE!

Agreed. The great things mankind has accomplished in it's existence has been through it's own power, not the power of a higher being. If that was true, we would have no free will.
