I have done what I am supposed to do but don't "feel" like a Christian. I know faith isn't based on feelings but shouldn't I feel something?

Well if you are completely ignorant and refuse to accept proof of anything that isn't in the bible and think that for believing in something with no evidence you are somehow special and will be rewarded whilst everyone else is punished then you are a christan if no keep trying. Or better still read a science book and discover the truth.

what have you done? Can you say that you believe in what Christ has taught? Have you confessed that Jesus is the Son of God? Have you repented or your sins? Have you been baptized for the forgiveness of your sins? Have you continued in the Apostles doctrine, the breaking of the bread and the prayers? This would include loving others as yourself. So, therefore, you have to love yourself and do what is right. The feeling that you should have is JOY. Happy to know that your sins are forgiven.

1 John 4:2 says, This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowlege Jesus is not from God. Do you believe in your heart that JESUS CAME IN THE FLESH? Read your Bible as you ask for Holy Spirit for understanding. There is alot of truth in there that people distort. Let God's Holy Spirit help you to understand the Truths of His Word. The fact that you are asking the question shows that you are humble and will accept His direction. Continue to be Blessed.

Remember, it is a relationship with Christ. As long as you nurture that relationship, you may not always feel Him, but He will be there with you. Take a look at things that have happened to you. Can you see the reason and the purpose? Continue on praying and studying his word and you won't need to question it.

I gotta ask, why do so many non-religious people come into the religious section?

FAITH IS BASED ON FEELINGS

there is faith and then there is religion. find out how you find a relationship with God, and what he means to you. your religion is a group of people who follow the same guidelines or common ones with you. Your faith is finding the love of God within your own heart, in your own way.

God Bless ya :]

Apparently you have to do the following:

Spam these boards like crazy;
Show a condescending attitude toward all other people;
Act like you've memorized the bible when in fact you have only read about 10 pages from an internet site;
Criticize, criticize, criticize

Have you entered into a personal relationship with Jesus?
Can you think of a time when before this date you had these beliefs, and after this date you had these beliefs? You should be able to say, on such and such a date/time I came to know Jesus and asked him into my heart and life.
The new testament talks of having a new heart. Before Christ we wanted to sin, now we try to avoid it.
You would be sealed with the Holy Spirit, who will lead you into reading your Bible, etc.
