If i said "I hate blue flamingos" would that mean i hate flamingos that are blue, or all flamingos?
If i said "I hate falling rocks" would that mean i hate rocks that are falling, or all rocks?
If i said "I hate stupid christians" would that mean i hate christians that are stupid, or all christians?
Now, is it fair that i got a violation for saying "I hate stupid christians" because they thought i called christians stupid and i hate them all? What do you think?

hey sunshine... **** sensitivity because its a harsh world and when people hide behind their monitors and talk trash they cant even take what they dish, as if having to say things online because they are too frightened of real people is bad enough.... yeah! they know who they are!.... lol, so high-strung huh?

It is up to the readers' interpretations. It can go either way. I guess when you are referring to a social group, you need to be specific in your semantics. Although, if you has said that you adore intelligent Christians, nobody would have objected.

I think for the rock and the flamingo thing, you just hate the specific one you state, the Blue Famingo and the Falling rocks, you hate those specifically and not all, However for the other one, I think it means that you hate guys named Christian, and especially stupid ones. I knew a guy named Christian and he was stupid, and still is.

If you hate blue flamingos, you just hate blue flamingos. You may love green flamingos.
If you hate falling rocks, you just hate rocks that are falling. You may be very fond of stationary rocks.
If you hate stupid Christians, then you just hate Christians who are stupid. You may be a Christian yourself.

Stupid christians is too vague. It could mean that you find all christians stupid. Nice try with your semantics but these examples don't cut it. Try instead:
I hate stupid math (said by a kid in a math class)
I hate stupid jews
etc...
As you can see, there are times when the adjective is not being selective but rather all inclusive. I still think you have the right to offend, but it can be thought of as all christians

I think rocks and flamingos aren't human and therefore don't have the same "respect" due them. Yahoo Answers have removed some of my questions/answers that I also thought didn't deserve to be removed. Remember though, they make the rules.
What do I know though, I'm just another Christian you hate : )

No you don't hate all flamingos because there are pink ones (duh...)you would hate rocks that are falling (stupid).If you said you hate stupid Chritians that depends.You actually hate retarded Christians or your calling them stupid in your hatred of Christians.That last question threw me off.

In such a sensitive world, I think that your last question would be taken as offense by any Christian. Wouldn't you just say, "I hate stupid people?" By saying I hate stupid Christians, you're referring only one group of stupid people, and making it sound like only Christians can be stupid. Start thinking on a more sensitive level, buddy.

You've made your point very well. But at the same time, we know that people have a tendency to use the word "stupid" in sentences such as the example you give to characterize in general all members of the group represented by the noun that follows. I can see why people in such a group might find your statement offensive... especially if they're generally defensive.

You have in each case qualified your answer, You hate flamingos that are blue. You hate rocks that are falling, and you hate Christians who are stupid. You must show some form of even handedness. I do not discriminate against any one group or race or creed I believe in equality, I hate them all, equally. :-)

I think you should put "the" before stupid Christians. That would change the meaning of your sentence. Otherwise you call all Christians stupid.

don't you know? you're not allowed to offend a "good Christian". and they are easily offended. despite how offensive they are to others.
many people do not read the whole thing, just basic information. if they took the time to entirely read and understand what they read, and asked questions when they didn't, the whole world would be far less stressed out.
