Dude, read your Bible...not writings that came years later from someone who also read Hebrew scripture and founded his religious philosophies on that. Jesus was crucified, buried and raised so that you could be resurrected should you die before He returns. He is the Way, The Truth and The Life. Believe on that. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Well, even if he was the one crucified as attested in the bible, he just appeared dead to those who knows nothing about medical science and roman history and culture.
The romans of those time deviced the cross as the most hideous and cruel form of punishment to those who fight against their empire. It was made to have a "criminal" nailed to in, without garments, food and water , then exposed to the elements,i.e. the intense heat from the sun,the harshness of the chilly nights. It is calculated that most men would stay alive up to three days and finally dies.
In the case of Jesus, he was only nailed and hang there less than 3 hours. The bible even stated that a roman soldier ,having seen his appearance as brutally molested and lamed, thougth he was already dead thus avoided breaking the bones of the legs as to hasten death since it would be very hard to breath with hands raised and the body hanging with its weight with no leg support to stand, the soldier thus pierced the side of his body and so gushed forth blood and water. It's common sense to know that a dead heart won't pump blood circulation but this was not the case with Jesus ?(pbuh) or who ever the man was on the cross.
Then the act of putting herbs and the likes manefested that the body was still alive, for it was not their religious practice to embalm the dead. So, why the herbs? Conclusio:He was not killed.. Believe in whatever suits you, but with facts, it should be more than belief. It's beyond reasonable doubts.

Jesus was first beaten and flogged. He was then put on the cross. His mother Mary begged for his legs not to be broken (which fulfilled the prophecy in the old testament btw). To allow for no doubt of his death he was stabbed in the side. Blood did not pour out. Liquid like water did. If any of you who scoff knew anything about medicine, you would know that this is entirely accurate. Also from the positioning of the cross and hanging there His shoulders would have also been completely dislocated. In addition after the beating, (which is extremely severe) and the flogging which is even worse (maybe for an accurate picture one should read about the acutal process) he would have died from blood loss alone. Plus the Roman officials and the Jewish leaders wanted him dead and were there from beating to death so there is no way they would not have recognized an imposter and immediately exposed him and all of Jesus' teachings as fraud.

We Christians doesn't believe in Quran and Muhammad so its pointless to ask Christian about this question because you already know what we believe and we already know what you believe. Jesus is God, and His power is spoken of in the Bible and being witnessed by many believers of today. Our God has the power to break the chains of bondage and set the captives free and change lives around for the better. Jesus is not a messenger, He is the Saviour and Heir of His Fathers throne when the time comes.

The quran is a man made book written by goodness knows who.
It is supposed to have come down from heaven and given to mohammed by an angel, but mohammed was illiterate and could neither read nor write. Perhaps you god didnt know that!
Also the quran is FULL of contradictions and innacuracies.
The Bible is written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. Mohammed knew that as he called the Jews the children of the book.
Our God loves the Jews and calls us to love them, they are His chosen people.
Your god hates the jews, in fact your god hates everyone, so they cant be the same god.
Think I prefer mine as He is mighty and sovereign and the Bible is 100% accurate.

Well i suppose it depends on how you look at it, he was crucified on a cross, and then waited there to die. So technically you could say no one killed him, and since he was God, he could have stayed up there eternally (for he had already been beaten and battered to the brink of death, before he was hung up there).
He died for our sins, in other words, we all killed him, for he did not have to come, nor did he have to die.
Matthew 16:21
From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be KILLED and on the third day be raised to life.
Mark 8:31
He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.
Acts 3:13
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be KILLED, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go
Acts 5:30
The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead—whom you had KILLED by hanging him on a tree.
Again he chose to die upon the cross for us, for otherwise he would have come down from the cross.
Matthew 27:42
"He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself! He's the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.
Mark 15:32
Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe." Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

Christ offered His life as a sacrifice so that we may be accepted into His Father's House... For we are unworthy sinners and do not deserve a piece of Paradise... When we accept Christ into our Hearts, the Father does not see us as unworthy sinners, but people who has His Son's (Christ) Blood marked upon our heart.
Only through God's Son Jesus do we enter His House which is prepared for you and I...
So you see God loves mankind so much He sent His only Son to die for you and I...

According to this he was swapped...
Treatise of Seth (Ophite Gnostics)
"Yes, they saw me; they punished me. It was another, their father, who drank the gall and the vinegar; it was not I. They struck me with the reed; it was another, Simon, who bore the cross on his shoulder. It was another upon Whom they placed the crown of thorns. But I was rejoicing in the height over all the wealth of the archons and the offspring of their error, of their empty glory. And I was laughing at their ignorance.
Perhaps this is why "500 people saw him after he was 'crucified'"?
Pistis Sophia
"But it happened that after Jesus had risen from the dead he spent eleven years speaking with his disciples."
ELEVEN years! How much can you teach in that time? => see John 21:25
"Rise from the dead" meant to them spiritual awakening. It appears that Jesus was not crucified and the mainstream Christians accepted everything literally.
BTW, the above scriptures are older than Qu'ran

How do you know the translation of that scripture is correct. There may be multiple mistakes from when it was handed down via oral tradition. I think if you are looking for te story of Jesus then you should look to the new testament of the Bible.
