Men are taught from the time they are boys not to show emotion as it's a sign of weakness. Women are nurtured to show emotion and to feel. Just because a man doesn't show that he's hurting doesn't mean that he isn't.

most men hide emotions. some don't just depends. all men have emotions. i am tired of all of the stereotypes about real men don't cry and all of that crap. if you have a soul, you have emotions. men just try to hide them or only confide in certain people. we're picky.

some guys just grow up to not show their more vulnerable sides and emotions. some guys, they may appear very nonchalant, but deep down they could be hurting. if u really know them, u'd know they're depressed. otherwise, u'd say he's heartless.
