can any one tell me why Microsoft sys 7 minuets remaining on your install or transfer.?

I call this Microsoft minutes as 7min is +- 12 minutes

The calculation is always flawed as transfer rate is used to determine and guess the amount of time needed. Transfer rate can vary as well so that makes it flawed. The average transfer rate is measured every few seconds. The amount of info left to transfer is divided by the average transfer rate and that gives the number of seconds remaining. That is a simple explaination in practice it will will be alittle more complicated.

XP does a much better job at guessing than the previous version but it will never be 100% accurate.
