Some are good; some are bad; most are in-between. Same as all the non-Catholics. What's your point?

I have seen and heard a lot of people say disgusting things about the Roman Catholic Church as if it is the worst Christian faith but most of these people admit that they have nothing against Catholics for they have seen more who have good hearts than other Christian denominations. Most Catholics are charitable and helpful to those who have less but they do it in secret and most people don't actually know it. They don't go around with loudspeakers preaching about their belief and roam the city sidewalks asking for monetary contributions. They don't waste their time arguing if who is right or wrong and don't try to look down on people like other selfrighteous Christians. I know that Catholics are helpful people but they don't do it by showing it because they always believe that their acts are between him and his God. They don't go around bashing others and most only answer questions in a positive manner without hatred in their hearts. So, my question is, why is it that if the Catholic Church is such an abomination, why is it creating a lot of well mannered, unpretentious, cultured and unconditionally helpful followers. Isn't it that Christ is really in their heart rather than pretending to understand by confessing to have the right Biblical interpretation but in reality would only want to flaunt their new found faith but don't actually practice it?
Listen to this man's story. He's one of the witnesses that the catholic faith is not really as bad as what other people would usually think.
He is MAVERICK and here is where I got this.

This is unedited and placed as how this person wrote it and here it is:
I am Protistant but I would say if it is true it would be out of ignorance...Catholics believe in the deity of Christ and salvation of those who accept Christ sacrifice as atonement for there sins. They are without a doubt Christians I do not agree with everything they believe and that is why I am protistant but I do agree that they are true Christains and I can think of a ocuple of religions that claim to be Christian that are not. Now I will tell you of my one time when I was having serious financial problems and was out of work..I began calling different churchs to ask for help many of which if you are not a member will not help you...others will refer you to some place that may give you a few can goods....but I contacted this one Catholic church and told them of my trouble I was not asked what i believed I was not asked anything except if I had enough gas to make it to there church and told if I did they would geive me back the money and groceries....these people asked for nothing and invited me to there church and bought a large amount of groceries from the grocery store and loaded them in my car....they absolutely touched my heart as a reflection of what God would have his people do...I have nothing bad to say about the Catholics although if I were to think about it I might think some of my own Protistant people could learn athing or two about what it is to be Christian from these people.

There are indeed many GOOD, DECENT and God-fearing Catholics that I personally know, who are near and dear to my heart.
I have nothing against the Catholics per se, in general, although I do feel that they are kept in total Darkness and are being led to clutching on to FALSE TEACHINGS, DOCTRINES and RITUALS of the Church that has indoctrinated their faithful for generations and generations with disinformation...
It has long come to a point that such FALSEHOODS and LIES have become their self-perpetuating "truths". That's just too bad for most until such time that they will begin to see the Light, too.
As a staunch ex-Catholic, my gripe is against the RCC and its clergy for they are indeed "the blind leading the blind" into the pit!

I have some catholic friends, but one or two of them are what my friend calls "full-throttle catholics". They tend to get on my nerves when we have a conversation involving religion, because I don't share their beliefs and they get on my back about it. Other than that, they're cool.

As a former catholic, i never liked having to follow all their rules, and rituals during mass. Stand, sit, kneel; no eating meet on good friday, ect..
I also dislike how they are against medical science and how they are trying to take a woman's right to have nor not to have an abortion.

I'm Catholic, and I don't think we are too bad. Yeah we have the usual religious nuts, who go around judging people and condeming them to hell for scratching their head, but what religion hasn't got them type of people.

I think we are all children of God and we each serve our purpose according to God's will.
The people who are Catholic have been taught to live according to specific guidelines to make it through this thing called life.
They are special, as are all of the people who are aware of who they are.

I have a few friends who are Catholics. They don't share any common personality traits apart from their faith, so I don't think that their faith has any bearing on who they are as people.
