And they're making an absolute fortune ...

Funny Vindaloo should mention tolls, as I have reason to believe that he is a Canadianist, and it is a well known fact that in Canadia they don't have road tolls because they don't have any roads yet. They tried introducing tolls for lines scratched in the surface ice by the last dog sled team but that's a bit silly.

However, in Milton Keynes it is true that they do charge you to get out of the place. It costs 22p (CAN $2,344.00) for a single rail ticket from London to MFK but £96.00 (CAN $33,654) for a return. When you get to MFK you go through customs at the border and they superglue your thumbs to your index fingers to stop you hitch-hiking out of town. At MFK International Airport I asked the time of the next incoming flight and they said "Incoming flight? What does that mean?" Etc.

Funny you should mention tolls. The other day, I had some Toll House cookies. Come to think of it, it may have been the other night. Knights were called that because that's when they pulled all their chivalry and other shenanigans. The song, Shamrocks and Shenanigans, was bloody awful. Milton Bloody Keynes is awful too.

I'm not surprised they're making a fortune.

Funny that Mr. dilb should mention Canadia's lack of roads - when, as I'm sure he is well aware, Canadia has had some fully servicable roads since 1986. At least one of them, in fact, charges a toll. I know this because I paid it just last week.

Milton Keanes has toll roads too - though I have never had to pay them as I am clearly intelligent enough never to have visited in the first place.

Eh?

it always amuses me how you have to pay a toll to go into Wales on the M4 but not on the way into England. It should be the other way round (!) (just kidding all you patriotic Welsh People!). I agree that Milton Keynes is a friggin nightmare to navigate around, so many bloody roundabouts and by-passes!

We don't have toll roads in England, only toll bridges.

We do have the new M6 toll road, but that's only a recent invention, and is on trial. I hope they spend the profits on making the A1, the main road from London to Edinburgh, Dual Carriageway at last.

I used to live in Milton Keynes and really liked it. Not only is it the cleanest and least congested place I've ever lived, Milton Keynes also has the lowest council tax. Please take the mick out of things that you have actually experienced.

Yes the first bit is true, but they don't make much money, no one can ever find the bloody road leading out!
