Get an MRI. CT scans are useless to look for a pituitary gland.
You can probably find an MRI of the brain that cost <$500 cash pay.

Is this what the medical practitioner perscribed? A CT scan can cost from $500 up if you don't have Medical insurance. If the doctor feels that it is only necessary for a CT scan then do that, but a pituitary tumor are tiny, so they may not be obvious on a CT. A MRI would be better to pick up pin or cluster adenoma's. It will clarify the intensity of the tumor. But MRI's are more expensive. You may want to ask your doctor if their is any financial help you may get granted under medicare if it's an urgent matter, or try family and social services who could also help in a medical crisis. Remember doctors have a duty of care to look after their patients wellbeing. Goodluck.

It depends on a LOT of things...
What state you are in...what hospital or testing clinic you use...
If you have insurance...
With that said...It can cost anywhere from 400 to over 1000 dollars. But again that depends on where.
call your local hospital...They might be able to give you an idea.
